The great scientist and thinker Edward de Bono, the author of the thinking hats theory and the founder of the lateral thinking method;

A unique perspective in solving problems, and looking at them from an angle that no one thinks about, which may sometimes seem strange or illogical, but it was effective and successful in most cases, if not all, so dozens of governments from countries around the world used it to find solutions to intractable problems, to the point That some African governments were seeking help from him to resolve conflicts and issues of revenge between tribes, and I was honored to deal with him closely, and when the crisis of the ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal occurred, I wanted to send him a message so that he might come up with a creative solution, but he was in his last days and the doctors did not allow him to speak or communication.

What does that have to do with Edward de Bono?

The relationship is very direct. De Bono touched this problem in the Middle East in general, and noticed that the people of the Middle East eat large amounts of bread, and that bread in our region is free of yeast, which is an essential source of zinc, and that without sufficient amounts of zinc, a person tends to For nervousness, tension, and excessive emotionality, so I suggest that we take more zinc, and that the practical solution is to eat “marmite”, which is a food product that many English eat, and it is a British invention produced by Unilever from yeast, and it can be eaten in sandwiches or used in cooking.

In 2000, de Bono made an official proposal to the British Foreign Office to send quantities of marmite to the Middle East.

I do not know whether de Bono's theory is correct or not, but I clearly see the constant state of tension and tension in any discussion or any dispute that occurs between people, whether between spouses or even strangers on the street, to the point that a dispute between two drivers on the road can easily lead to murder .

There is no objectivity or deliberation in the discussion.

There is no arbitration for the voice of reason, tolerance and friendliness are absent, and the concern of each party becomes to prove the mistake of the other party, and if it is possible to expose and break it publicly.

A discussion or disagreement about a topic rarely changes the current situation, especially disagreements that occur over football or political views.

Those quarrels will not change anything, as the ball is just a game like the rest of the games, and politics has its rules that change according to dimensions and requirements that the average person does not realize its dimensions.

I hope that a course will be included in our curricula for all levels that will instill in students good behavior, objectivity, how to disagree, respect others, and tolerance.

There may be such a thing, but it is certainly ineffective or the situation would not be the way it is now.
