[Explanation] 2022 is the 30th anniversary of the establishment and implementation of China's manned spaceflight project, and there is a wave of "astronautics studies" in schools in many places.

The Primary School Affiliated to Chengdu No. 7 Middle School in Sichuan has set up a satellite measurement and control station in the school that can simulate the satellite measurement and control system, so that students can experience the daily life of front-line aerospace workers in the school, comprehend the spirit of spaceflight, and feel the charm of space technology.

[Explanation] Recently, in the space hall of the elementary school affiliated to Chengdu No. 7 Middle School, teacher Shi Mingyu is showing the students of the school real-time satellite images taken by satellite.

After attracting the students' attention through the satellite measurement and control system, Shi Mingyu led the students to the display area. While introducing the structure of the rocket through the model, he introduced the remains of the components on the rocket to the students.

Astronautics is a comprehensive subject that covers knowledge in various fields, so it is very helpful to stimulate children's scientific literacy.

One of our space halls is for popular science training in spaceflight, and the other is a practical base for children.

We have also built a new satellite telemetry station. This satellite telemetry station is similar to our Beijing measurement and control station and Xichang satellite measurement and control station. It is actually a reduced version of the measurement and control station.

[Explanation] It is reported that the school's space museum is divided into three parts: an exhibition area for displaying teaching materials, component wreckage and models, a science experience area, and a satellite measurement and control station.

Shi Mingyu introduced that the satellite measurement and control station in the school can realize functions such as real-time monitoring of satellite data, three-dimensional display of satellite status, and release of simulation tasks. Students can issue instructions and adjust parameters through the simulation control system.

In this system, we can submit our requirements, and then let the satellite take pictures of us, for example, select our primary school attached to No. 7 Middle School, and then take a real-time satellite image, and we can also access the satellites in the sky, one of them, for example, Solar panels, one of their loads and their voltage, current and many other related contents can allow children to truly experience the (working) process of front-line aerospace workers.

[Explanation] During the teaching process, Shi Mingyu also let the students experience the addiction of astronauts, and let the students get started with practical exercises while guiding.

[Same period] Su Jinhao, a student of the primary school attached to Chengdu No. 7 Middle School

Usually I also learn programming at home, and robot making, but I haven’t learned such high-tech things, so I try it now, and I feel very fulfilled.

I know a lot of aerospace knowledge, such as the types of manned rockets and how rockets are disassembled.

[Explanation] Qi Xiaoshan introduced that the school's aerospace courses are open to students in grades one to six in the school, hoping to let students feel the spirit of aerospace and sow the seeds of aerospace dreams in their hearts.

At the same time, offering aerospace courses can also force teachers to improve their own literacy and knowledge reserves.

This course is based on stimulating students' interest in learning, clarifying their aerospace knowledge, and then getting familiar with some of our country's existing aerospace achievements and understanding some of the basic principles.

We have also carried out the training of teachers. We have established a team with experts from Sichuan Aerospace Research Association and Xichang Satellite Launch Center. If teachers have any questions and students have any topics of interest, We all actively discuss in the group.

[Explanation] It is reported that the space museum is only a part of the school's science museum. In the next step, the school will build comprehensive science museums such as artificial intelligence museum, engineering technology museum, traditional Chinese medicine museum, etc., to make students interested in inquiry and improve the quality of thinking , Cultivate scientific literacy from an early age.
