Before the historic announcement in Mar-a-Lago (Florida is turning into the main base of the Republican political machine before our eyes), Donald Trump's advisers split into two groups.

Some advised Trump the politician to wait and look around.

Others, turning to Trump the businessman, drove him forward.

There was pressure that an early nomination would give an advantage to rich donors who would incur money to someone who had already made up his mind and was confident.

Businessman overcame politics.

At the same time, Donald Trump did not break what once already worked: "Let's make America great again."

Under such a slogan, which helped him become the 45th president of the United States, he now wants to become the 47th president.

Moreover, this form fully reflects the content.

Two years of Joe Biden in power is a recession in the economy, an increase in inflation and crime, a polarization of a society engulfed in culture wars.

“A house divided in half cannot stand the storm,” said Abraham Lincoln, quoting the New Testament.

Trump agrees.

Four years spent in the White House, he considers almost the golden age of America, which only he can return.

An ordinary candidate, Trump told the supporters gathered in Mar-a-Lago, is not suitable for this role.

And indeed, the protagonist of his campaign should be the American people.

Or rather, that part of the voters, which is usually attributed to the MAGA movement.

The most active and ideological Trumpists, who adore their leader so much that no attempts by the Republican establishment to accuse Trump of the party’s not the most impressive results in the last midterm congressional elections have any effect on this audience.

And this is the main problem for the Republican party leadership, which seems to continue to be in a world where the traditional laws of political technology operate, while Trump again turns his campaign into a kind of holy march on Washington, and himself into someone who is ready to sacrifice one's own life in a collision with a "firestorm", which threatens not only with emotional losses.

It cannot be said that this is an exaggeration.

Several investigations are underway against Trump at the same time.

Here and the case of alleged unauthorized storage of secret documents in the residence of Mar-a-Lago, and the investigation of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and the criminal investigation of an attempt to interfere in the tabulation of the presidential elections in Georgia, and the civil lawsuit of New York Attorney General Letitia James $250 million over real estate scams.

The liberal prosecutor, or rather those in the shadows, have declared a real vendetta against the Trump family.

They are trying to permanently ban him, his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, and daughter Ivanka from running companies in New York State.

She, by the way, considered the signal correctly.

She was not at the Mar-a-Lago event.

Ivanka Trump has already stated that she will not help her father with the presidential campaign and will focus on the family.

Like her husband Jared Kushner, he is also a once-powerful figure in the Trump White House.

More frankly, former Trump associates expressed their dissatisfaction.

The only Republican who could lose the 2024 election was Trump's former chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney.

It's doubly humiliating to be on liberal CNN.

The same opinion is shared by former Vice President Mike Pence, who believes that the party will have a better choice.

However, Pence is a person of interest here.

He is on the shortlist of those who, along with Trump, will compete for the party nomination.

After all, the former president has yet to pass the intra-republican selection.

However, the voter here is more likely on the side of the 45th President of the United States.

47% of Republicans, according to a poll by Politico / Morning Consult, see him as the leader of the list.

Second place on this list is now occupied by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

He has 33% support.

The newly ascendant party star DeSantis (a kind of “Healthy Trump”) has shown that he can collect the votes of minorities and independent voters, which is essential for a national victory, where betting on MAGA alone is not enough.

Plus, the Florida governor is clearly favored by the party establishment, which has old scores with Trump.

Some Republican bosses even believe that he stole the party from them, crushing everything under him.

Among other competitors for the nomination, for example, former Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Haley attracts attention.

Before taking office at Trump's request, Haley was the governor of South Carolina.

With the former boss, they completely dispersed after the events of January 6th.

Eyeing the White House is another high-ranking diplomat of the Trump call, Mike Pompeo.

He even lost several tens of kilograms.

Pompeo, through his Champion American Values political action committee, is already ordering ads in race-critical states like Nevada, New Hampshire, Kansas, Iowa, and Florida.

Applicants have become more active and less.

Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who declared open war on Trump by her participation in the committee investigating the storming of the Capitol.

The names of the black senator from South Carolina Tim Scott and the governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin are also called.

But this is completely out of the realm of fantasy.

The reality is that it will be difficult for any Republican, or even the entire party, to immediately resist Trump's pressure.

He is still incredibly popular among the electorate.

From Senators Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz to the mega-popular Fox News anchors Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, he has not turned away from him either.

They all remember that it was Trump who, by filling the Supreme Court with his nominees, helped strengthen the right flank of American politics.

Without this, the decision to abolish the federal right to abortion would not have been so dear to American conservatives.

Against Trump here are American political traditions.

History knows only one example, when the President of the United States, having been defeated in an attempt to be re-elected for a second term, made another successful attempt.

It's about Grover Cleveland.

And it was more than 100 years ago - in 1892.

As for impeachment, there are no examples at all.

None of those who were subjected to such a procedure has ever run for office.

True, not a single head of the White House before Donald Trump was also subjected to two impeachment proceedings.

In general, he is in every sense a unique politician and president for America.
