In Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor), school agents filed a strike notice on catering time and demonstrated this Wednesday in front of the prefecture.
They denounce an “explosive situation” in certain establishments, particularly at the Jean-Nicolas school, reports
Le Télégramme
.
Nine students with disabilities are welcomed in this school without any support in the canteen.
Some of these children suffer from autistic or hyperactivity disorders and can be violent.
Professionals therefore believe that everyone's safety is not guaranteed under current conditions.
The strike notice concerns all the schools in the municipality.
The movement will be rotating, with the exception of Jean-Nicolas where it will be daily.
In this establishment, “School catering will not resume […] until there is a supervisor for a child with a disability”, explained Sylvie Fourré, member of FO Territorial Saint-Brieuc.
The municipality replied that it wanted to hire staff.
The possibility of suspension measures on extracurricular time for certain students, not all with disabilities, was also mentioned.
