The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature revealed that its next edition, which will start in early February 2023, will include an exceptional group of events that include the brightest names in the creative and cultural field, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the launch of the first edition of the festival.

The events will be organized between the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel and the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, so that visitors to the festival will enjoy moving between the two headquarters across the Dubai Creek using an abra.

The festival management announced, during a ceremony in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, the list of participating guests, which includes more than 250 thinkers and creators from around the world, including the Bahraini poet Qasim Haddad, and the writer Maysoon Saqr Al Qasimi, the first Emirati woman to win the Sheikh Zayed Book Award - Literature Branch. for the year 2022, and the Iraqi writer Inaam Kachaji, in addition to Muhammad Al-Naas and Jalal Barjas (winners of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction - Booker), and the writers Tariq Imam, Reem Al-Kamali, Shahd Al-Rawi, Mohsen Al-Wakili, Khaled Al-Nasrallah, and others.

The festival will feature more than 300 sessions and workshops within a program full of fun and suspense within the framework of the theme of this year’s session: “Khair Jalees”, which celebrates the friendships that the festival has established with the literary community over the years.

The Live Arts Theater also returns to the festival with a range of fun and free performances suitable for all ages.

The festival program for the year 2023 will host guests from 50 different Arab and foreign nationalities.

For her part, the director of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Ahlam Bulooki, expressed her happiness at the launch of the 15th edition.

She said, “We are proud of what we have provided over the years.

As we hosted more than 1,700 male and female writers in Dubai, and we traveled with them to new worlds and times, discussions and stories that the festival includes in its space every year.
