Weight is being put on the opinion that the reason why the famous entertainment agency Hook Entertainment is being investigated by the police includes charges of embezzlement of management.

On the 10th, the Severe Crime Investigation Division of the National Police Agency conducted a search and seizure of Hook Entertainment's office building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 5 hours.

Since it is very unusual for the National Police Agency to conduct a massive search and seizure of an entertainment agency, attention was focused on the background of the investigation into Hook Entertainment.

According to the recent legal community, the reason for the search and seizure by the police included charges of embezzlement by some executives, including Kwon Mo, CEO of Hook Entertainment.

In particular, it is said that the police are reviewing the application of the Special Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act if the embezzlement value of Hook Entertainment's executives exceeds 5 billion won.

An official from the legal profession told SBS Entertainment News reporters, "The fact that a search warrant has been issued means that the police have caught a certain point of suspicion." It can also be interpreted as being implied.”

However, when considering the total sales of Hook Entertainment, there are opinions that the amount of embezzlement estimated by the police is too large.

In response, some say that the aftermath of the investigation by Kang Jong-hyun, a businessman known as the ex-boyfriend of actor Park Min-young and a businessman suspected of the actual owner of the virtual asset exchange Bithumb, may have reached Hook Entertainment.

For this reason, there is also a point of view that the National Police Agency Heavy Investigation Division was directly involved in the execution of the search and seizure targeting Hook Entertainment.

On the other hand, on the day of the search and seizure, Park Min-young was reported to have left for Japan right after finishing the last filming of the tvN drama 'Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Thursday' in which she was appearing.

As bad news overlaps with the aftermath of the scandal of Park Min-young and Kang Jong-hyun and the police investigation of Hook Entertainment, it is predicted that the external image of actors Yoon Yeo-jung, Lee Seo-jin, and Lee Seung-gi and setbacks may inevitably be disrupted in their future activities.
