The case resurfaced, five years after the sale of the land and buildings.

In Penmarc'h, at the southern tip of Finistère, the transaction around a former holiday center is the subject of a preliminary investigation.

Following a report made by the LR mayor of Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), justice wishes to verify whether an illegal taking of interests could have been carried out by a former Breton elected official who bought the colo in 2017.

Revealed by the local press and

Le Canard enchaîné

, the controversy concerns the conditions for acquiring the holiday center which belonged to the town of Courbevoie.

Put up for sale almost ten years ago, the property had been the subject of several offers for a buyout around 240,000 euros, but without going any further.

Would the buyers have been put off by the warnings of the former town planning assistant?

According to

Le Canard enchaîné

, the elected official would have warned of the "risks of submersion" to which the site was subject, explaining "that there would be deaths" in the event of a tsunami.

Became a top-of-the-range lodge

The former assistant had finally bought this holiday center for 150,000 euros in May 2017 via a civil real estate company (SCI), created a few weeks earlier with her children.

Transformed into a top-of-the-range gîte called Natural Green 29, the building is now rented between 3,700 and 4,400 euros per week.

It was temporarily put up for sale on real estate sites for 840,000 euros, according to the weekly.

The lawyer for the former elected, who resigned in 2019, assured to have "gathered elements which make it possible to nullify all the charges against her".

“It was not she who discouraged the candidate buyer at 240,000 euros.

They are the ones who decided not to follow up and it is not at all for tsunami stories, ”says Me Jean-Claude Gourves.

A preliminary investigation has been opened by the Quimper prosecutor's office.
