Prosecutors demanded three years in prison for Yang Hyun-suk, former CEO of YG Entertainment, who was handed over to trial for threatening a celebrity aspiring actor Han Mo in relation to drugs related to singer B.I to overturn police statements.

On the morning of the 14th, at the trial of Yang Hyun-suk, who was indicted on charges of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (threat of retaliation), the prosecution said Yang Hyun-suk was sentenced to three years in prison and YG official B, who was handed over to the trial on charges of aiding and abetting. He asked the court to sentence him to two years in prison.

Prosecutors said, "Combining the fact that he requested a reversal of his statement by saying, 'It's not even killing one of you' to Mr. A, a singer trainee and public interest reporter, it is clear that he made a malicious notice that caused fear." He explained the reason for the sentence, saying, "The quality of the crime is poor, such as not admitting the crime at all and showing no sign of remorse."

In response, Yang Hyun-suk's legal representative said, "It was made up or severely distorted after the death, focusing on what the former CEO would have threatened." "Defendant Yang Hyun-suk met Mr. It's hard to believe," he said.

In his final pleading, Yang Hyun-suk mentioned his career as a producer who has contributed to the K-pop industry by nurturing junior singers for 27 years, saying, "It is not true that I report public interest.
