Faced with the success of the Dahmer series, the streaming platform has announced two additional seasons.

This sequel, however, raises questions, because the story of this serial killer has been fully covered in the episodes released this fall.

What can Ryan Murphy, the director specializing in horror, say?

Within weeks, he became the internet's most notorious cannibal.

By releasing a ten-episode series on Jeffrey Dahmer, Netflix brought the true story of one of the most notorious serial killers in American history to the world's eyes.

In the space of a single week, it became the most-watched English-language series on the platform globally, with 205.33 million viewing hours from October 3-9.

Faced with this success, Netflix has already announced a sequel, with two additional seasons.

Following the record-breaking success of DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan will create two more installments that will focus on other monstrous figures who have impacted society.

Ryan Murphy still in control

Only problem: the story of the one who is nicknamed the "monster of Milwaukee" has already been fully treated in the episodes already broadcast.

So what more can the series tell?

The platform teams have actually decided not to talk about Jeffrey Dahmer anymore.

These will actually be seasons about two other serial killers, featuring "monstrous characters that impacted society."

The other common point of these new episodes of

Dahmer

is also Ryan Murphy.

Director of the show, he will also be at the helm of the sequel.

A great specialist in horror, he notably created

American Horror Story

, a reference in series of the genre.

Dahmer

on his side will therefore undoubtedly be renowned.

The American media Variety already calls it quite simply “Monster”, a word which already appeared in the subtitle of the series.
