While Russia is ready to use nuclear forces, a panel exhibition that conveys the reality of the atomic bombings held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA this summer began on the 11th in Tokyo.

This panel exhibition was held at the United Nations Headquarters in conjunction with the Review Conference of the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) in August this year by the Japan Hidankyo (Japan Council of Atomic and Hydrogen Bomb Victims' Organizations). It is open in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo from the 11th to get it.

At the venue, about 50 panels are displayed, including photographs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were destroyed by the heat rays and blast immediately after the atomic bombings, and of survivors suffering from atomic bomb disease.

It also introduces the activities of A-bomb survivors such as Mr. Nao Tsuboi, who died last year after being exposed to the atomic bomb in Hiroshima, and Mr. Ryosuke Taniguchi of Nagasaki, who has been involved in the A-bomb survivors' movement since its establishment, as well as the efforts of young people calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons. .

A-bomb survivor Seiko Wada said, "People of various generations have come to New York, so I would like many people to come to Japan as well. As the threat of nuclear weapons is increasing internationally, we I would like it to be an opportunity to think about it as a problem."

This panel exhibition is open until the 13th at the Japan Seinenkan in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
