With a number of installation works in the outer courtyards of the "Dubai Design District", and the participation of 120 designers and 360 entities, the eighth edition of "Dubai Design Week" is launched today, which is organized in strategic partnership with the "Dubai Design District".

The week includes the work of a group of designers and engineers from around the world, as well as 20 artworks, all revolving around the concept of design and its effects for a more sustainable future.

Designs that keep pace with technology were added to this session, which were presented at the "Designs from the World of Metaverse" exhibition, and a space was allocated for Emirati designers at the "Emirati Designer Exhibition".

The Dubai Design Week, which runs until the 13th of this month, focuses on sustainability through design, as the idea of ​​“influencing through design” is based on a number of short design stories that revolve around this concept, and a group of regional and international architects and designers presented exclusive artworks. event, all of which have positive environmental impacts.

This influence is embodied by creating new materials, recycling, or upcycling, and in this sense, this edition presents the different facets of what it means to design a better future.

She added that "the start of the week coincides with the start of the activities of the third edition of the (Regional Architecture Forum), which presents presentations and projects from the most prominent regional and international architecture companies, which highlight their vision for building a sustainable future," pointing out that there are a number of distinctive artworks that keep pace with technology. , including examples of “Designs in the World of Metaverse”, which is a series of “Web 3” works, highlighting the vitality of the design that forms the basis for the experience and the new dimensions of the World Wide Web.

Regarding the Emirati Designer Exhibition, Al Bastaki explained that it “presents a variety of works, including (pieces from the past and the present) by Amna Al Shamsi, who was inspired by the atmosphere of the Shindagha area in Dubai, as well as making furniture made from recycled materials and similar to marble, for the designer residing in Dubai.
