China News Service, November 7th. The China Meteorological Administration held a press conference on the 7th.

At the meeting, Xiao Chan, deputy director of the National Climate Center, introduced the national weather and climate characteristics in October, the forecast of climate trends in November and the weather service tips.

The first is the national weather and climate characteristics and major climate events in October.

Xiao Chan introduced that my country's climate in October was generally warm and dry. The national average temperature in October was 10.8°C, which was 0.2°C higher than the same period of the previous year.

The national average precipitation was 34.4 mm, 3.5% lower than the same period of the previous year.

The temperature fluctuates greatly in the month, the temperature in the early stage is obviously lower than the normal year, and the later stage is obviously higher than the same period of the normal year.

During the month, the daily maximum temperature of 248 national weather stations across the country exceeded or remained the same as the autumn extreme value, of which 26 stations reached or exceeded 40°C.

The main weather and climate events in my country in October are as follows:

First, the meteorological drought continued in most areas south of the Yangtze River.

Since July, most areas in the south have continued to experience high temperature, high temperature and little rain, and there has been a series of droughts in autumn.

In the first ten days of October, affected by the obvious precipitation process, the meteorological drought in Jianghuai and Jianghan eased or eased. However, most areas south of the Yangtze River remained warm, high, and rainy in October, and the meteorological drought continued.

As of the end of October, there were moderate to severe meteorological droughts in southeastern China, southern central China, northern southern China, and central and eastern Southwest China, including southern Zhejiang, most of Fujian, central and southern Jiangxi, central and southern Hunan, northeastern Guangxi, and northern Guangdong. , southeastern Chongqing and other places are particularly dry.

Drought has a great impact on agriculture, water resources dispatch, energy supply and social life in the southern region.

Second, at the beginning of the month, the autumn and tiger weather in the southern region was obvious.

From September 27 to October 4, a regional high temperature weather process occurred in the southern region.

Among them, the number of high temperature days in the southern region in early October was the highest in history since 1961.

Third, there are 5 cold air processes affecting our country.

In October, the cold air activities in my country became more frequent, and there were 5 cold air events in total.

Among them, the 3-7th is a national cold wave process, with a large cooling range and a wide range of influence.

Central Northeast, central Inner Mongolia, northern North China, western Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, most of Jiangnan, southeastern Shaanxi, Chongqing, northern Guizhou, northeastern Guangxi, northeastern Guangxi and other places have a cooling rate of more than 12 °C, of which southeastern Henan , most of Anhui, most of Hubei, and northeastern Hunan have a cooling rate of more than 20 ℃.

Xiao Chan also mentioned the weather trend forecast for the next ten days.

It is expected that from 8 to 17 days, the temperature in the southern Xinjiang Basin, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and other places in my country will be lower than the same period of the normal year, and the temperature in most of the central and eastern regions will still be 1-2 °C higher than normal, and the local temperature will be higher than 3 °C.

There will be a strong cold air affecting our country from 10 to 13.

The accumulated precipitation in eastern Northwest China, southern North China, Huanghuai and southern Northeast China, eastern Sichuan Basin, and Hubei is 10-25 mm, with local precipitation exceeding 30 mm. The precipitation in other places is still significantly less than the same period of the previous year, and the meteorological drought will remain.

The main weather processes in the next ten days include: from 10 to 13, there will be a moderately strong cold air affecting our country, there will be northerly winds of magnitude 4 to 6 in Jianghuai and most of the north, and the temperature in most parts of the central and eastern regions will drop by 4 to 8 ℃, and the cooling range in some areas is about 10℃; due to the combined influence of cold and warm air, there are light to moderate rains in the eastern part of Northwest China, North China, Huanghuai and Northeast China, including Qinghai, Gansu, northern Shaanxi, northern Hebei and Northeast China. Sleet or snow.

Regarding the forecast of climate trends and weather service tips in November, Xiao Chan introduced that in terms of precipitation, it is expected that in November, there will be more precipitation in northern Northeast China, western North China, southern South China, central and western Tibet, eastern Northwest China, and northern Xinjiang.

Among them, parts of central Inner Mongolia, northern Shanxi, part of western Hebei, northern Shaanxi, Ningxia, central Gansu, northwestern Tibet, and southwestern Qinghai were 20-50% higher; northwestern Jiangxi, southern Hubei, northern Hunan, eastern Guizhou, Southeastern Chongqing and other places are 2-50% less.

In terms of temperature, it is expected that in November, the average temperature in the central and eastern parts of my country will be close to the same period of the year to slightly higher.

Except for Heilongjiang, northeastern Inner Mongolia, eastern Fujian, Taiwan, eastern and southern Guangdong, southeastern Guangxi, Hainan, most of Tibet, southwestern Qinghai, and western Xinjiang, the temperature was lower than the same period of the previous year. Close to year-over-year to high.

In terms of cold air, it is expected that in November, there will be five major cold air processes affecting my country.

According to the forecast of climate trends in November, there are four weather service tips and suggestions:

One is to prevent the adverse impact of cold air on energy supply.

In November, special attention should be paid to the strong cooling or periodic low temperature in most of northern my country that may be caused by the phased strong cold air process. In view of the increase in supply demand, the adverse effects of power generation equipment and transmission lines, it is recommended that energy reserves, power transportation equipment maintenance, and emergency protection plans be formulated in advance.

The second is to prevent meteorological drought and do a good job in forest fire prevention.

In November, precipitation in Jiangnan, South China, and Southwest China continued to be low, which was not conducive to the storage and supply of reservoirs and hydropower stations. At the same time, the meteorological drought continued in summer and autumn, and the forest fire danger level would reach high or extremely high levels. It is necessary to pay close attention to the development of meteorological drought and prevent In view of the adverse impact on the security of energy supply and power transportation, it is recommended to do a good job in power security and energy storage in advance.

The third is to prevent the adverse effects of strong cooling and strong winds on health and travel.

All localities need to strengthen defense against the possible impact of strong cooling and strong winds on production and life, and at the same time pay attention to preventing local low temperature rain, snow and frost hazards; at the beginning of the winter heating period, it is necessary to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning and regularly open windows for ventilation; the public needs to be timely according to weather changes Add clothes to keep warm to prevent colds and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

Localities also need to guard against the adverse impact of reduced visibility on road traffic.

The fourth is to prevent the adverse effects of weather on agriculture.

The Jiangnan region should continue to do a good job in drought resistance, actively use favorable weather to implement artificial rainfall, scientifically allocate water sources, and ensure timely transplanting and seedling growth of rapeseed.

The northern winter wheat area should pay attention to changes in moisture content, water and fertilize in a timely manner, and promote the formation of strong seedlings before winter.

In southern Gansu, most of Ningxia, western Shaanxi, central and western Sichuan and other areas with more precipitation, precautions should be taken to prevent rainy weather.

In the northern part of Xinjiang, feed reserves and windbreak reinforcement of sheds have been made in advance to reduce the impact of snow disasters.
