And she considered - in her interview with "Beyond the News" program (6/11/2022) that Ukraine cannot win over Russia, and that America does not want to confront Moscow because that contradicts its interests, stressing that it is time to resort to negotiations.

The Russian analyst's comments came against the backdrop of the Washington Post quoting US officials as saying that the United States is secretly urging Ukraine at this stage to declare its readiness to negotiate with Russia.

For his part, a researcher at the RAND Corporation for Studies, William Courtney, considered that the time is still not appropriate for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as Kyiv is achieving continuous victories on the battlefields, according to his opinion, expecting Kyiv to continue its progress, and therefore considered it premature to talk about Negotiations between them, explaining that US President Joe Biden often only asks not to rule out negotiations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a flexible manner, but he does not impose the matter on Kyiv.

He believed that America and European countries will continue to provide military support to Ukraine until it wins on the battlefield, stressing that the American request is related to showing some flexibility if Russia decides to stop the war and withdraw from Ukraine.

On the Ukrainian side, the former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Hryshchenko explained that at the beginning of the war that Russia unexpectedly launched, Ukraine was ready for negotiations, but the condition of complete surrender was not accepted by Kyiv, although after a while it expressed its readiness to negotiate provided a common ground for negotiations in line with with international law.

It is noteworthy that the “Washington Post” newspaper pointed out that US officials do not aim to pressure Kyiv to push it into negotiations, but rather to ensure that Kyiv maintains the support of other countries that fear fueling war for years to come, and the newspaper noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s refusal to hold talks with Russia with Putin put the Biden administration in a difficult position, due to Washington's pledge to provide aid to Ukraine for as long as possible.

It has also caused concern to countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America that feel the biggest impact of the consequences of the war in terms of food and fuel costs, despite the agreement of US officials, according to the newspaper, with their Ukrainian counterparts that Putin is not currently serious about negotiations.
