A total of 10 companies participated in this project through a designated competitive bidding process, and the company of President Yamazaki won the bid at 22.55 million yen including tax, which was close to the planned price, compared to the planned price of 23.05 million yen. It means that

Former deputy mayor Totsuka served as deputy mayor since two years ago, but resigned on the 31st of last month due to "personal reasons".

Former Deputy Mayor Totsuka, who was arrested, became an employee of Maebashi City in 1973, and retired in 2011 after serving as the director of the city's commerce and industry department and the management director of the board of education.



After that, he served as the city's public enterprise manager overseeing the city's water supply bureau for six years from 2012, and was appointed deputy mayor two years ago.



At Maebashi City Hall, the assistant manager at the time was also arrested last year on suspicion of violating the government-made bid-rigging prevention law, and was later found guilty, and the former deputy mayor served as chairman of the investigation committee on the incident.



The former deputy mayor resigned last month due to personal reasons.
