Faced with the lack of emergency doctors, a strike by interns and an epidemic peak, the three hospitals in Dordogne took the decision to close their emergency reception for seven days.

A reduced service which began on Monday.

During this period, patients will not be able to present themselves spontaneously to the emergency room.

They will have to call 15 in order to have the authorization of the SAMU to go to the hospital and be taken care of, details France Bleu.

A closure that will last in Sarlat

More concretely, the three hospitals in Dordogne close the emergency reception at night from Wednesday to Thursday.

The service should resume normally from Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in Bergerac and Périgueux.

Conversely, at the Jean-Leclaire hospital center in Sarlat, the reception will remain closed until Monday, November 7 inclusive due to the lack of emergency doctors.

The management of the Samuel-Pozzi hospital in Bergerac ensures that the situation should improve in this establishment by the end of December with the imminent recruitment of three new emergency doctors.
