Recently, the reporter followed in the footsteps of Ji Wei and learned the story of the first railway station in Quanzhou and the economic development and construction of the hometown of overseas Chinese.

  My name is Quanzhou (Railway Co., Ltd.), which was established in 1998. I was transferred to Quanzhou East Railway Station in 1999.

When I just came here, I was the freight director on duty, then the freight director, then the clerk, the chief clerk, and the chief clerk.

  [Explanation] The Zhangquan Railway Quanzhou Station, which was officially put into operation in 1998, was the first railway station in Quanzhou, the hometown of overseas Chinese. It was responsible for the transportation of passengers and goods. Since then, it has been integrated into the national railway network for operation, ending the need for people in Quanzhou to travel to Xiamen or Fuzhou by train. The history of Quanzhou has fulfilled the railway dream of Quanzhou people for decades.

In 2010, with the opening of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, the newly built Quanzhou Railway Station was used as a landmark and a window, and was named "Quanzhou Station". The original Quanzhou Station gave way and changed its name to Quanzhou East Station.

With the development of social economy, Quanzhou East Station has undergone a transition from passenger and freight transport to freight transport.

  The reform of the railway, compared with the original, is really turned upside down.

It turns out that our passenger car and the railway company only make two trips here. The waiting room of the entire station, especially during the Spring Festival, is full of people. Maintaining this order, including our security check, is very stressful. .

With the development of EMUs and high-speed railways, great progress has been made in the entire passenger flow, including the travel of people.

  [Explanation] Quanzhou East Station makes full use of the abundant energy and economic advantages of southern Fujian. From 1998 to 177,661 tons of goods, 283,689 tons of goods arrived, to 841,168 tons of goods and 1,051,491 tons of goods arriving in 2011, the container operation volume is in the overall situation (Nanchang Railway Bureau) ranks among the best, laying a new pattern of railway transportation as an important logistics channel in southern Fujian.

  At the beginning of the time, the whole (freight) volume had not come up, and there was another line (road) on our side that had just been built and was not fully built. The entire warehouse was still empty, but the two rows were left there, and the warehouse was not covered much. , built two small warehouses.

Then the volume at that time, gradually after marketing, running the market, the volume of tiles and stone slabs sent by the whole vehicle, gradually increased.

  [Explanation] In Ji Wei's eyes, it is fortunate to be able to complete the "curtain call" with Quanzhou East Station, who has been with him for 23 years.

Ji Wei told reporters that, more fortunately, he was able to see the China-Europe freight train running at the station before retirement, bringing "Made in Quanzhou" to the world.

  At that time, we didn't do any overseas goods, and we didn't do much international trade. All of them were domestic.

At the back, starting this year, we will also take the China-Europe train.

Then the China-Europe trains are basically exported.

  [Explanation] As the opening of the Xingquan Railway approaches, the Huangtang Station on the Xingquan Railway will inherit the name of "Quanzhou East Station", take over the baton of the freight transportation of Quanzhou East Station, and transport the goods from the south to the north. It is the important task of opening the "China-Europe Railway Express".

  When I go to Huangtang Station, I am sure that the facilities and equipment will be better and updated than our old station. So when it comes to Huangtang Station, I hope that after arriving at Huangtang Station, various work can be further developed and better, which will help Quanzhou area regardless of the economy. Construction or logistics, make a greater contribution.

  [Explanation] In the past two years, Ji Wei has passed on his 42 years of work experience to his apprentice Chen Yuzhen.

He hopes that the apprentice can pass on the technical skills he has learned with him over the years and the Quanzhou people's "love to fight and dare to win" spirit in the new position, so that they can do the freight work better.
