Over the course of two hours, the "Sukoon" band presented a group of Arabic songs at the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, the night before last, in the presence of a remarkable presence of attendees of different ages, who flocked to follow the concert titled: "A Journey with the Tunes of Yesterday". “Sukoon” consists of an oriental takht that has a diverse repertoire of classical Arabic pieces, as the band members played songs from various maqams of the Arab musical heritage, from Egypt, the Levant, Iraq and the Gulf.

The program of the concert included the link of Muwashahat: “Mr Al-Tijni”, “Afdaya Zabya”, “Ya Nas Ana”, “Ya Maria”, “On My Eyes”, “My Feeling for You” and “My Times Are Sweet” by the late artist Warda. At the conclusion of the “Sukoon” troupe’s concert at the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation in Dubai, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Fatima Al Sayegh, presented a commemorative shield to the troupe, and thanked them for their efforts to preserve the original musical heritage, by celebrating the immortal tune, which still lives in the public’s conscience.
