Apple Watch saves the life of a woman whose husband tried to bury her alive

In a new incident in which the Apple Watch helps save a person's life, the American police managed to reach a woman whose husband had buried her alive.

The victim, who lives in the American city of Seattle, succeeded in using her smart watch and calling 911 to call the police for help, after her husband attacked her during a discussion about divorce proceedings.

Although her husband broke her watch with a hammer after he noticed her making the call, and dragged his wife to the garage to bury her alive, the security forces responded to what he heard from her screaming for help, and were able to locate her and reach her to rescue her.

According to court documents.

She was found with "adhesive tape wrapped around her neck and down her face and ankles," iMore reported.

The assailant's husband, 53-year-old Chae Kyung-An, faces a number of charges including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree assault.

This is not the first time that the Apple Watch has been credited with saving people's lives, as the smartwatch offers an emergency SOS feature designed specifically to help people in dangerous situations.
