The famous footballer was present for this inauguration which took place in the presence of his family and in particular his parents.

The wax statue depicts him in a dark suit.

Obviously, it is very different from the previous ones since the years have passed by.

But he says that despite the passage of time and apart from a few details, he has remained the same.

Other than the hair and the fact that I've aged a bit, not much has changed.

In any case, inside, nothing has changed,

assures Zinédine Zidane.

I try to remain the fan that I am, a dreamer.

I continue to do what I love to do, that is to say my passion: watching football and then again, soon, why not coach.

Being here is still quite touching.

My parents are getting older, a little older than me, so it's good to have brought them together within these walls which also tell a little about the history of France.

A very popular statue with visitors

Zinédine Zidane entered the Grévin museum for the first time in 1999. Her statue was then redone in 2009. But for a few years, she had disappeared from the establishment.

If it returns today, it is because the demand from visitors is very strong.

His character was no longer exhibited because he did not live up to our expectations,

explains the communications director of the Grévin museum, Véronique Berecz

.

But there hasn't been a single day without people asking us where his statue was.

So we took the liberty of calling Zinédine Zidane back, to find out if he would agree to see our creative teams again and he accepted with his natural kindness and we met again.

We are really very happy because it will make a lot of people happy

Before Zidane, only two other figures in the museum have had the signal privilege of coming to the famous museum three times: General de Gaulle and Queen Elizabeth II.
