An unexpected encounter.
Last Sunday evening, a family of wild boars was seen near the city center of Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales).
The troop was on the banks of the Têt a few meters from the tracks on the bank;

A local resident stopped to film the scene.

A not so rare event
On the images published by our colleagues, we can see that the wild animals are not disturbed by the environment which surrounds them and in particular by the passage of many vehicles.
"It's the first time I've seen so many wild boars in this area and so close to the road," explained the author of the video.
However, this is not the first time that wild boars have been seen near Perpignan.
In 2017, a young animal was filmed near the Polygone shopping center.
Two years later, other wild boars had caused extensive damage to crops.
Road accidents had also occurred.
A beat was then organized between Perpignan and Canet-en-Roussillon.
