Did the pharaohs reach Mars and build pyramids there?

An Egyptian expert clarifies the truth

The well-known Egyptian archaeologist and former minister, Zahi Hawass, denied what was recently attributed to him about the arrival of the ancient Egyptians or the arrival of the pharaohs to Mars and that they "built pyramids" there.

"This is a baseless lie," Hawass told AFP, accusing the promoters of this news of seeking "to achieve high viewership at the expense of science and truth."

He added, according to Al-Hurra channel, "I never said that the ancient Egyptians reached Mars," and "the US space agency did not say that it had found pharaonic monuments there... These are myths to preoccupy people with baseless superstitions."

Hawass' statements came after social media circulated a video report about the arrival of the Pharaohs to Mars.

In the video, a report attached to some scenes appears, in which it stated that scientists and experts said that unmanned vehicles that landed on the surface of Mars found statues that prove the existence of life on the Red Planet.

The report cited well-known amateurs for their strange ideas. The only real expert named in the report is the Egyptian archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, who previously held the position of Minister of Antiquities in his country.

But the report, which garnered tens of thousands of views and interactions on the pages of social media, is full of errors, fallacies and confusion between issues, according to "AFP".

The report talks about "Curiosity", an American probe launched towards Mars and actually landed on its surface in the summer of 2012, and the purpose of its trip was to search for traces of previous life on the surface of Mars.

The probe found “indications of the possibility of past life on Mars,” and actually found pieces of rock that almost suggest to the beholder that they resemble a human face, a tool, a pyramid, or something else, but this is a well-known scientific phenomenon, which is that the human mind resembles the objects that it sees. With assets he knows, especially when the images are impure, and this does not mean at all that the probe found pharaonic statues, as the report suggests.

The report then attributed to British journalist Joe White, "What we find is irrefutable evidence of the existence of sane life known to Mars in its distant past," after "analysis" of video clips broadcast by the US space agency.

But Joe White is not an expert space journalist, as the report suggests, but rather an "astronomy hobbyist" based in Britain who believes in the existence of extraterrestrial creatures and posts videos on YouTube for this purpose.

Studies and research are continuing on the Red Planet in order to reveal the fact that there is life on Mars or not.

And researchers at Rutgers University in the United States made an exciting discovery related to the chances of life on Mars.

According to the research, whose results were published in the journal Science Advances, scientists have concluded that life on Mars once flourished, but miles below the surface of the Red Planet, where geothermal heat was able to melt the thick ice sheets.

Using simulations to calculate the probability of life on Mars, and where that life may have first been seen, the scientists indicated that 4 billion years ago the planet had high geothermal activity, melting ice sheets and possibly allowing life to thrive.

According to the American research team, the sun was four billion years ago, 25 percent less bright than it is today, which means that the climate of Mars at that time should have been frozen, but the signs of minerals and chemicals and the bottoms of ancient rivers indicate that during that period Water was flowing in the planet.

The scientists' finding requires further research in the hope of finding signs of microbial life miles below the surface of Mars through future explorations of the planet.

And researchers at the American University of Arizona revealed in late 2020, in a study whose results were published in the scientific journal "Science", that Mars was not dead as it is now, pointing to the reasons that led him to his current situation.
