On October 20, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a regular press conference that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has firmly pursued a mutually beneficial and win-win strategy of opening up, forming a new pattern of all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging opening up. .

Wang Wenbin said that in the past ten years, although economic globalization has encountered adverse currents, the tide of China's opening up is still surging.

In the past ten years, although unilateralism and protectionism have been on the rise internationally, China has never stopped building a new system of higher-level open economy.

In the past ten years, a more open China has shared development opportunities with other countries in the world, making the Chinese market a world market, a shared market, and a market for everyone.

We took the initiative to reduce commodity tariffs, and the overall tariff level was reduced to 7.4%, which was lower than the 9.8% WTO commitment. At the same time, we also gave zero-tariff treatment to 98% of tax items in 16 least developed countries.

We held the world's first import-themed national-level exhibition, the China International Import Expo, and the cumulative turnover of the four CIIEs reached US$272.27 billion.

More and more multinational companies regard China as an important investment destination and believe that "investing in China is investing in the future".

Wang Wenbin said that the current international situation is volatile and changeable, and the uncertainty of the world economic recovery is rising, but the fundamentals of China's strong economy, strong potential and long-term improvement will not change. The determination to internationalize the business environment will not change.
