"Traffic jams are nothing new, but have you ever seen a motorcycle jam?"

Zhou Jinyu, a "knight" born in the 1980s, runs a motorcycle shop in Beijing. In the past three years, the number of motorcycles circulating in the city has doubled year by year.

During the morning and evening commuting rush hours this summer, motorcycles on some sections of the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing even experienced "two-meter-one-stop" congestion.

According to data released by the Ministry of Public Security, in the first half of 2022, 5.34 million motorcycles were newly registered nationwide, an increase of 1.08 million or 25.38% year-on-year.

According to the "2021 Beijing Transportation Development Annual Report" by the Beijing Institute of Transportation Development, the number of ordinary motorcycles in Beijing in 2020 increased by 107,000 units compared with the previous year, an increase of 71.8%.

In the same period, private small and micro buses increased by 60,000 units compared with 2019, with a growth rate of only 1.3%.

Before October this year, the motorcycle night training classes of many driving schools in Beijing were almost full.

The main force of the training ground is no longer takeaway riders, but young North drifters who just need commuting or motorcycle players who have just entered the circle.

According to the enrollment data of various driving training institutions in Beijing, in the first half of 2022, more than 120,000 people in Beijing applied for motorcycle exams, accounting for about half of the total number of driving exams.

"The epidemic has changed people's attitudes to life to some extent, making motorcycles, a more personalized toy, favored by consumers." Li Bin, executive vice president of the China Motorcycle Chamber of Commerce, told China News Weekly.

"Motorcycle fever" has been transmitted from the riding mode to the industry side, driving the production and sales of large-displacement motorcycles, and supporting the Chinese motorcycle industry to get out of the trough. Put it on the table.

So far, nearly 200 cities across the country have joined the "Mobility Prohibition and Restriction" camp, which has covered the vast majority of medium and large cities across the country. The policy is based on traffic safety, road pressure, social security, and exhaust emissions. and other considerations.

From the perspective of the industry, what is more worthy of attention behind the current "motorcycle craze" is that the comprehensive effect of the implementation of the previous policies and the impact on the industry need to be re-examined.

Rejuvenation and female knights

"Is anyone going to Da Nail to drink yogurt at night?" As soon as the invitation came out, the yogurt stand under the Olympic Tower, commonly known as "Da Nail", was going to work overtime again. It has become a popular place for offline gatherings of "Moyou" in Beijing.

Riders meet, chat, take photos, test rides, put helmets on the booth table, drink a cup of yogurt in a porcelain bottle, and if the weather is good, you can also meet for a trip to the mountains.

Motorists like to tease each other with their "mounts": teenagers ride spring breeze, irritable youth ride Kawasaki, executives ride BMW, nightclub cafes ride Ducati, Yamaha drivers are dead, KTM drivers are "Crazy", Harleys and Indians are mostly bosses. In the end, scooters are the ultimate destination of all riders.

In addition to the "big nails" at night, the parking lot of Internet companies can gather so many types of motorcycles.

In 2020, the Aegean Shopping Center located in Beijing's North Third Ring Road was transformed into a commercial building. With the entry of ByteDance, the parking lot in front of the building was also full of motorcycles with the words "Byte Knights", and the one with the highest appearance rate. The model is the Suzuki GSX250R.

"Imitating a racing car, with high appearance and personality, it meets the rigid needs of commuting and social needs, and the key price is not expensive. It is in the early 20,000s. As a young person's entry car, it is not wrong." Dai Tuo, one of the founders of the Byte Knights told "China News Weekly".

"Commuting is the most basic need." Li Bin said, for example, in Beijing, if you drive to work for 2 hours a day, it takes almost 1.5 hours by bus, and only 50 minutes by motorcycle. Who doesn't want to save money on the road? Time to make up for sleep?

The even more helpless reality is that many young people from Beidrift are still not qualified to buy cars in Beijing due to various reasons, or they have not been able to win the number for many years after being qualified.

The motorcycle Beijing A license was stopped in 1996, and the Beijing B motorcycle license is almost the last gentleness left to Beidri.

Not only in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, Li Bin found during his research in various places that there are also a large number of motorcycle friends in Internet companies in Hangzhou, Chengdu and other places.

In the early years, some cyclists shared videos at station B, which was still a kind of enclosure. Until the rise of short videos, the entertainment method of motorcycle riding was more intuitively projected on a 5-inch electronic screen. The picture of the car whizzing by is more impactful than the text, and the motorcycle boom has really started to "out of the circle".

At present, the “Motorcycle” topic on Douyin has been played more than 65 billion times, the Weibo “Motorcycle” topic has more than 530,000 discussions and 2.1 billion reads, and there are over 1.22 million under the “Motorcycle” entry of Xiaohongshu Notes.

In addition to the fueling of social media, motorcycle fever is closely related to changes in travel policies.

At the end of 2018, the implementation of the "Beijing Non-motor Vehicle Management Regulations" means that the countdown to the "three-year transition period" involving millions of electric bicycle users begins. Electric vehicles with temporary license plates will not be able to go on the road after three years, and the original electric vehicle owners have been riding. on the motorcycle.

In addition to the restrictions on bus travel in the past three years of the epidemic, more people turned to motorcycles to commute.

"Younger" is one of the most striking features of Moyou Group.

"40% of our customers are between 20 and 25 years old." Zhou Jinyu's store is mainly engaged in domestic Qianjiang motorcycles, and more than 60% of the store's users are "beidiao".

Different from the traditional way of in-store consumption, young customers are more accustomed to online shopping. Most of them choose their intended models from apps such as Motofan, and directly negotiate the price with the sales online, and then pay for the car at the offline store.

The consumer group of top motorcycles is also showing a younger trend.

The Italian brand Ducati is known as the "Ferrari in the motorcycle industry". It was often hailed as a "symbol of wealth" by middle-aged successful people when it entered the Chinese market in its early years.

According to Xu Zigang, a professional manager of Ducati Beijing Jingang Store, in recent years, mainstream customers have become younger and younger, and the proportion of customers who take loans to buy cars has also increased.

The "In-depth Research and Investment Prospect Analysis Report on the Development of China's Electric Motorcycle Industry (2022-2029)" pointed out that the gradually growing generation Z will become the core force to promote the future growth of the overall market and the explosion of market segments.

The consumption performance of Generation Z has prompted motorcycle companies to develop more differentiated brands, products, services and marketing systems.

"Women knights" became the fastest growing group.

"2021 JD.com Generation Z Automobile Consumption Trend Report" analyzes user portraits. Among the generation Z consumers, the purchase volume of female motorcycle users exceeds that of men of the same age in the first half of 2021, and among people under the age of 35, the growth rate of female users generally higher than that of men.

If there is no epidemic, Nana, a post-90s girl, will definitely continue the domestic motorcycle tour with her three puppies.

Last fall, Nana took San Xiaozhi on her first long-distance trip.

Starting from Beijing, passing Qinhuangdao and Dalian, taking a ferry to Yantai, continuing to cycle around the Bohai Sea, arriving at Weihai, Qingdao, Binzhou, and then returning to Beijing, cycling 2446 kilometers in 10 days.

The emergence of more and more "female knights" also provides new opportunities for many businesses.

According to Tmall data, in the past year, more than 120,000 female consumers purchased motorcycle tires on Tmall and Taobao.

According to CCTV Financial Channel, the ratio of male and female motorcycle students in Beijing driving schools is basically 1:1, and some driving schools even have a trend of female students surpassing male students.

In order to work better and take three puppies to play farther, Nana replaced the 110cc small displacement scooter with a Vespa 150 four years ago.

She couldn't hold back her longing for a retro motorcycle with a large displacement. In September last year, Nana saved money and bought a Triumph Robber. "This car is nothing but good-looking, but it's enough to have fun." Nana said .

"According to riding needs, motorcycles can be divided into three categories, production materials, means of transportation, leisure and entertainment tools." Song Tao, secretary general of the motorcycle branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, told China News Weekly that at present, the latter two categories of motorcycles The market demand for cars has grown significantly faster.

Whether it is commuting, or leisure and entertainment, once you start riding a motorcycle, it is difficult to escape the law of upgrading and changing cars.

According to Li Bin's observation, the average replacement cycle of Beijing Moyou is about one and a half years.

Domestic players usually start with motorcycles with a displacement of 250cc, and continue to upgrade to larger displacement motorcycles after communicating with motorcycle friends or learning about models that are more difficult to control.

At present, many domestic companies have begun to develop public upgrade motorcycles, but it will take a while to achieve stable mass production.

"Cars are for driving, motorcycles are for play, and more than 90% of the domestic large-displacement motorcycle players have cars." Li Bin analyzed that the use of motorcycles by Chinese people has fundamentally changed. Since the early 1980s, In the beginning, motorcycles were mainly used as means of production for transportation and travel.

With the rapid growth of automobiles, the transportation function of motorcycles has now weakened, and the entertainment properties have gradually emerged. In recent years, the market has turned hot, which is related to its functional transformation.

Huaxi Securities Research Report pointed out that in the market structure of motorcycles with displacements above 250cc, 250cc (excluding) ~ 400cc are still the main sales force, but the 400cc (excluding) ~ 750cc displacement segment has grown rapidly, which partly reflects the number of motorcycle players. volume upgrade demand.

In view of the industry's better-than-expected sales performance from January to August, and taking into account the further formation of motorcycle culture, the release of demand for upgrading and replacement of emerging consumer groups, and the marginal improvement of the motorcycle ban and restriction policy, it is expected that the industry will grow by about 50% in 2022.

In the heat wave of hot motorcycle sales, Zhou Jinyu faintly felt a little bit of business crisis.

The users who buy cars in other stores are mainly non-locals, and the demand for short-term repurchase is not high.

"The mainstream consumer group is shrinking." Zhou Jinyu said.

"The growth rate of the market will slow down and gradually return to the normal growth level." Li Bin said, but from the perspective of macro data, the per capita consumption of medium and large displacement motorcycles in China is only 1 vehicle per 10,000 people, far lower than the United States. , Japan, Europe, 7.9/10,000, 7.4/10,000, 8.1/10,000, the domestic medium and large displacement motorcycle market is still worth looking forward to.

Rising demand for large-displacement motorcycles

"In April of this year, when Qianjiang Motorcycle just released a new large-displacement car, it took three or four months to get the car after placing an order, and it was not available until recently." Zhou Jinyu said that the sales in the first three quarters of this year were already last year. 2.7 times.

Among the domestic independent motorcycle brands, Chunfeng, Qianjiang and Loncin GM constitute the first echelon.

A staff member of Chunfeng Power Shanghai Qingpu store said in an interview with the media in August that the waiting period for popular medium and large displacement models is comparable to that of new energy vehicles.

Data from the China Motorcycle Chamber of Commerce shows that in the first half of 2022, the entire industry completed 10.5543 million motorcycles and 10.7226 million motorcycles, down 15.59% and 14.38% year-on-year.

However, medium- and large-displacement motorcycles have suddenly emerged, becoming the only model with positive sales growth, with production and sales of 211,500 and 222,200, up 40.56% and 46.59% year-on-year.

"With the upgrade of domestic consumption, medium and large displacement motorcycles with sports, leisure and entertainment as the main purposes are more in line with the trend of quality consumption and personalized consumption." Song Tao analyzed.

According to data from the Motorcycle Branch of the China Automobile Association, in August this year, the monthly sales volume of motorcycles with medium and large displacements above 250cc was 70,000, a year-on-year increase of 128% and a record high.

The penetration rate of domestic large-displacement motorcycles has increased from 1% in 2019 to 2.3% currently.

This is also reflected in the domestic sales trend of imported motorcycle brands.

After BMW Motorcycle entered the Chinese market in 2013, it has successively introduced all 6 major product series and more than 30 models.

According to the data released by the BMW Group's annual financial report in 2022, its motorcycle sales in the Chinese market in 2021 will exceed 14,000, making it BMW's fifth largest market in the world.

From the perspective of brand competition, the global motorcycle market is ranked by sales revenue. The largest motorcycle manufacturer is Honda, whose market share is close to 25%, followed by Yamaha, Harley, TVS and Kawasaki, all of which are international veteran brands. motorcycle brand.

However, domestic manufacturers will also usher in an industrial dividend period.

Huaxi Securities Research Report believes that the current development stage of medium and large-displacement motorcycles is similar to the SUV segment from 2013 to 2014. The new models and new brands of the top car companies at the supply end are accelerated to provide the core driving force for the development of the industry, and the market is rapidly expanding.

With reference to the development history of domestic automobiles and the competition pattern of the overseas motorcycle market, self-owned brands are expected to become the biggest beneficiaries of the rise in demand for medium and large displacement motorcycles.

Domestic independent brands have already seen this trend.

Qianjiang Motorcycle pointed out as early as in its 2021 annual report that, benefiting from the change in market consumption awareness and the increase in purchasing power in recent years, as well as the influence of the growing culture of large-displacement motorcycles, large-displacement products for leisure sports and motorcycle travel have been It has formed a stable industry position and has become an important weather vane for the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

It is foreseeable that high-end large platoons are the future development direction of China's motorcycle industry and the main battlefield for major companies to increase market share and increase profit margins.

Although the cumulative sales of Qianjiang motorcycles in the first half of 2022 declined year-on-year, the sales of large-displacement motorcycles were about 82,000, a year-on-year increase of about 68.36%. The sales of large-displacement products ranked first in the domestic industry and were the company's main source of profit.

In the first half of 2022, the company achieved sales revenue of 2.583 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.20%, and realized a net profit attributable to the parent of 200 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.95%.

Zhou Jinyu said that the most popular ones in his store are the Sai 600 and the Shan 300. In the peak season of spring and summer, it takes an average of more than a month to get the car.

Loncin GM also mentioned in the semi-annual report that the motorcycle market of Zhongda Pai will continue to expand.

The "Promise" series of large-displacement motorcycles launched by Loncin GM sold 24,500 units in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 118.41%, higher than the industry average. The sales revenue was 414 million yuan, accounting for nearly 20% of the company's two-wheeled motorcycle sales revenue.

"At present, large-displacement motorcycles, which account for 20% of sales, contribute 80% of the industry's profits." Li Bin recalled that China's motorcycle output was close to 30 million when it was the largest, and the industry's after-tax profit was about 5 billion yuan.

Later, due to the prohibition and restriction of motorcycles in many places across the country, coupled with the impact of cars and electric vehicles, the production and sales of two-wheeled motorcycles declined year by year, and bottomed out around 2016. Various domestic brands have made efforts to transform and upgrade.

By the time the production gradually recovered to about 20 million vehicles last year, the profit of the entire industry had exceeded 5 billion yuan, indicating that the transformation and upgrading of the entire industry was in the right direction.

At the same time, the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer is going electric.

In mid-September, Japan's Honda Motor said it would launch more than 10 electric motorcycle models globally by 2025, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by the 2040s.

The Japanese automaker, which dominates the global motorcycle business, said it plans to sell 3.5 million electric motorcycles a year by 2030, equivalent to about 15 percent of the brand's total annual sales.

Just like the development path of automobiles, domestic independent brands are also actively deploying the electrification market.

The "2021-2027 Global and Chinese Electric Motorcycle Market Status and Future Development Trends" report predicts that by 2026, the global electric motorcycle market will reach 69.3 billion yuan.

Zhongyan Puhua also predicts that by 2027, China's motorcycle production will reach 22.5 million, with a compound annual growth rate of about 5%. Among them, the proportion of electric motorcycles will increase from 20% to 30%, and the average annual growth rate is predicted to be 15%.

"Electric vehicles will become one of the categories of motorcycles in the future, but it does not mean everything. The riding experience of fuel motorcycles is irreplaceable." Li Bin analyzed that in the future, short-distance transportation vehicles mainly for urban commuting are likely to be electrified. However, large-displacement fuel vehicles will still be the mainstream choice for leisure and entertainment. Riding motorcycles focuses on the interaction between people and vehicles. Many Harley consumers buy the unique exhaust sound of V-twin engines.

"At present, the domestic sales of medium and large displacement motorcycles only account for 3% to 5% of the overall motorcycle market, and there is still great potential for development." Song Tao analyzed that Japan's motorcycles above 250cc account for about 1/5 of its domestic market. , the proportion of large-displacement motorcycles in the European and American markets is higher, reaching 60% to 90%.

With the development of the industry in recent years, domestic large-displacement motorcycles have gradually changed from production tools and transportation equipment to daily necessities and leisure toys. This trend will continue to sink from first-tier cities to second- and third-tier cities in the future. Motorcycle culture, shoes, clothing, helmets and other peripherals, as well as the economic development of motorcycle tourism, will become another new consumption trend.

Re-examining "banning and restricting motorcycles"

According to relevant data compiled by Zhiyan Consulting, with the return of motorcycles to the market, the proportion of traffic accidents has risen again and again.

In 2017, there were 39,780 motorcycle traffic accidents, more than 45,000 the following year, and by 2020, the number increased to 45,789.

However, comparing the accident rates of cars and motorcycles, it is difficult to draw conclusions about which is higher and which is lower.

According to the data analysis of traffic accidents issued by the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of automobile traffic accidents in 2018 was 166,900, and the number of motorcycle traffic accidents was 45,800. The number of vehicles is about 90 million, the accident rate of automobiles is about 0.07%, and the rate of motorcycle accidents is about 0.05%; from the perspective of the proportion of fatalities in traffic accidents, the automobile accident rate is about 0.02%, and the motorcycle accident rate is about 0.02%.

No significant difference was shown between the two.

"Most Chinese people have a polarized attitude towards motorcycles. People who play with cars love it crazy, and people who don't play with cars always have the impression that motorcycles are unsafe." Song Tao said.

For motorcycles, an imported product with a history of more than 100 years, Chinese people have gone through a process from curiosity to prejudice and then to re-acquaintance.

In 1886, motorcycles were introduced to Shanghai, and the Chinese motorcycle industry was stagnant again and again due to the continuous war, and it was not gradually established until after 1949.

In the early 1950s, the "Jinggangshan" brand motorcycle came out, which started the process of motorcycle production in China.

It was not until the end of the 1970s that motorcycles gradually shifted from military use to the civilian market. The "Jialing CJ50" produced in 1979 was regarded as "China's first civilian motorcycle".

But it was not easy to own a motorcycle at that time. In the 1980s, when the price was still calculated by points, a brand-new motorcycle could easily cost several thousand yuan.

After the popularity of private cars in the 1990s, the status of motorcycles declined rapidly and became more and more marginal.

In urban news, motorcycles are often associated with keywords such as robbery, noise pollution, and casualties.

In 1986, Beijing began to restrict motorcycles from driving on roads within the Third Ring Road.

In 2000, the Beijing Municipal Public Security and Traffic Administration announced that two-wheeled motorcycles with licenses from Beijing B and other provinces and cities would be prohibited from driving on roads within the Fourth Ring Road by the end of the year.

On January 1, 2007, Guangzhou announced a complete ban on motorcycles.

According to incomplete statistics from the "China Motorcycle Travel Map", by 2019, 185 cities across the country have "banned and restricted motorcycles".

Almost every year at the National Two Sessions, representatives and committee members submit relevant proposals and motions to open the "ban and restrict motorcycles".

Many people believe that the policy of prohibiting and restricting motorcycles not only severely restricts the development of the motorcycle industry, but also affects the convenience of consumers' travel with the development of urbanization.

Li Shufu, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Geely Holding Group, suggested at the National Two Sessions in 2020 to pilot the "banning and restricting motorcycles", treat urban motorcycles scientifically, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the motorcycle industry.

Li Shufu pointed out in the motion that China is the only country in the world that implements a "ban and restrict motorcycles".

In many parts of Europe, it is advocated to drive more motorcycles and less cars to offset the problems of fuel consumption, road traffic, and parking space occupied by cars.

Tu Jianhua, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce, and chairman of the board of directors of Loncin Holdings Co., Ltd., also pointed out in the proposal that the one-size-fits-all "prohibition and restriction of motorcycles" leads to the sale of motorcycles only to rural areas, which hinders the technological progress and industrial upgrading of the industry. It made China lose the crown of the world's largest motorcycle production for 21 consecutive years.

What worries people in the industry is that motorcycles are in a critical period of industry change and face the dual challenges of electrification and globalization.

In the long run, the scale effect of the local market will be critical to the life and death of the industry, which is strongly related to whether the "ban and restrict motorcycles" are loosened.

Li Daokui, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and an economist, has always been a motorcycle riding enthusiast and has submitted relevant proposals for many years.

"In the past, it was very common to ride motorcycles without a helmet. Now many motorcycle riders are well equipped." He believes that the quality of motorcycle friends is improving, "Our laws and regulations should keep pace with the times."

In Song Tao's view, "If you want to die quickly, buy a kick", which was the situation when China's motorcycles developed disorderly, without formal guidance and training 20 or 30 years ago, and it has been continuously improved in recent years.

Nowadays, the improvement of product technology and the improvement of traffic supervision methods have greatly improved the traffic safety factor of motorcycles.

As for the "speeding party" that once troubled Guangzhou and other places, it has long since become history with the improvement of public security management.

"The reasons for banning and restricting motorcycles vary from place to place. From the perspective of urban management, it is mainly due to social phenomena such as frequent motorcycle riding safety accidents, illegal modification of motorcycles, and serious injuries caused by not wearing protective gear in accordance with regulations. It is because of the lack of safety awareness of cyclists, the lack of knowledge of safety regulations, and the incomplete basic education of motorcycles." Song Tao said that the "banning and restricting motorcycles" in various places has become an established fact, and the key is how to change the status quo and solve the hidden safety hazards from the source.

According to the current "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses", after obtaining the D license of a three-wheeled motorcycle, you can theoretically drive a two-wheeled motorcycle (E license) and a moped (F license), that is, the D license can be compatible with the E license. , F certificate.

But this can no longer meet the real driving safety needs. It is too easy to get a D certificate, and it is too difficult to ride a two-wheeled vehicle.

Compared with three-wheeled motorcycles, two-wheeled vehicles are more maneuverable and flexible, their own stability is weaker, and the larger the displacement, the higher the requirements for driving skills.

In the industry, there has always been a voice of "reform of motorcycle license according to displacement". It is recommended to separate the scope of two-wheeled and three-wheeled driving licenses from the source, and to refine the D license level according to the displacement of motorcycles.

Song Tao believes that the call for the reform of motorcycle driving test is more in line with the actual needs.

Because for true enthusiasts, motorcycle riding is a lifelong learning hobby, just like extreme sports such as skiing and surfing.

"Motorcycle sports can also drive the development of the industry. Brands such as Honda and Ducati also build their brands by accumulating competition data and prepare for the development of mass-produced vehicles."

The real problem is that there is currently no indoor venue for motorcycle racing in China.

Song Tao said that the indoor motorcycle race has extremely high requirements on the design, construction and acceptance of the venue, but the technical standards for the safety application and certification of the venue are in the hands of American institutions.

At present, only more than 30 racing venues have been certified in China. Indoor motorcycle races can only be held on borrowed land. The price of personal expenses is expensive. This is one of the reasons why many young enthusiasts have to run mountains.

"The market of medium and large displacement motorcycles is rising, and the number of motorcycle friends for leisure and entertainment has increased. The problem of where to go has to be solved. We encourage handsome riders not to ride fast." Song Tao said, except for the official safety guarantee. For off-road events, motorcycle travel is also an option. From an industrial point of view, motorcycle travel can also become a link between industry brands, stores, clubs and car owners, helping to create a virtuous circle of industrial ecology.

For the rider, although the motorcycle does not have the speed of a racing car, it does not mean losing the passion for riding.

Long-distance travel is not simply sitting in the car. Stable cruising requires constant cooperation between manual oil feeding, clutching, braking, foot brake, and foot shifting. Every curve must be matched with the posture of the body, changing the inclination and The rudder angle of the faucet can draw a perfect arc.

Just like playing an endless game, you will encounter new levels and challenges along the way, and there will be new excitement, not to mention the scenery and fireworks along the way.

With the size of China's market, there is still more room for imagination in the motorcycle leisure tourism market.

Taking into account the upstream and downstream industries such as motorcycle equipment, clothing, tourism and leisure, under the multiplier effect, motorcycles will drive larger-scale new consumption.

However, while the sales of large-displacement motorcycles are growing rapidly, more demand has been limited by the "banning and restricting motorcycles".

In 2017, Xi'an launched the "first shot of lifting the ban on motorcycles". Subsequently, dozens of cities such as Langfang, Jinan, and Qingdao lifted restrictions one after another, providing policy space for the revival of motorcycles.

"When the per capita income of the society reaches a certain level, people's pursuit of cars is no longer so urgent, and they are slowly moving towards a higher level of demand, and motorcycles are such a tool for leisure and entertainment." Li Bin said.
