At a high school in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, a male teacher who was an adviser to the softball club hit a female member of the club on the cheek and injured her chin, and the school dismissed the teacher.

According to Himeji Jogakuin High School, last month, a male teacher in his 40s who is an advisor to the softball club was angry that a first-year female student who was a member of the club forgot to wear a uniform at the tournament and did not report it, and smacked his cheek. In addition to hitting him and saying, "Go home, I don't care about you," he hit his head the next day.

The student's chin was dislodged and the injury took a month to heal, and he is still unable to go to school due to the mental shock.

Regarding this male teacher, the school announced that it was disciplinary dismissal on the 12th, saying, ``I acted fraudulently and dishonored the school.''

The teacher is saying "I'm sorry" to the school's interview.

In order to prevent recurrence, the school will ask external experts to train teachers on sports club guidance, and will increase the number of times school counselors respond to consultations for student mental care.

Ryosuke Takaya, an adviser to Himeji Jogakuin High School, said, "I feel sorry for the students and their parents who suffered damage, and I am keenly aware of my responsibility for causing a great deal of turmoil in society. I want to do my best," he said.
