In the early hours of the 7th, there was a fire at a house in Sapporo City, and two men and women who seemed to be elderly died.
Police are working to establish the identity of the two homeowners who have not been contacted since the fire.
Around 1:45 am on the 7th, a nearby person reported to the fire department that smoke was rising from a two-story wooden house at Nishino Gojo 7-chome, Nishi-ku, Sapporo.
The fire was almost extinguished after about an hour, but according to the police, two men and women who seemed to be elderly were transported to the hospital in an unconscious state and were confirmed dead shortly after.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire as well as confirming the identity of the two people who live in this house after the fire.
