Egypt: Students dance in the "classroom" to festival songs, so what was the punishment for the school principal?

A state of anger afflicted the Egyptians, after a video clip of a group of students dancing in a high school to the tunes of festival songs they played on the smart “board” in the classroom, while an official at the Ministry of Education confirmed that deterrent punitive measures were taken against the perpetrators of the incident and the school director.

The incident took place at Ali Mubarak Secondary School for Boys in Markaz Dikirnis in Dakahlia, north of Cairo, and spread after one of the participating students filmed it and posted it on his account with the “Tik Tok” application.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Dakahlia, Nasser Shaaban, said that the Follow-up and Discipline Committee in the Directorate had seized the incident before it spread on social media, explaining that the incident occurred two days ago, but its spread occurred only hours ago.

He indicated that he had sent the follow-up and discipline committee to the aforementioned school, last Tuesday, given that the performance of the director of this school has notes and he has a record of violations related to not preparing for the school year and not complying with the ministry's instructions.

He stressed that during the committee's passage of the classrooms at the school, it caught 4 students dancing to the tunes of festival songs by connecting one of his phone to the smart board to the class through Bluetooth technology.

He stressed that immediately the four students were arrested and separated for 4 days, but decided to increase the duration of the class to 15 days.

And he continued, according to "Sky News Arabia", that he decided to dismiss the school director from his job as a school director and return him to his main job as a teacher, explaining that this decision is not due to the dance incident only, but due to a record of major violations of the mentioned school director.

He stressed that every school principal has surveillance cameras in all classrooms connected to a screen in his office, and he also has supervisory staff and must follow all classes carefully so that such things do not happen, and his failure to do so requires punishment.
