Although the company has not made a direct mention of the incident, it does say in its statement that "successful partnerships are based on mutual respect and shared values."

West has responded on Instagram, claiming the brand has "stolen" his designs, though he has since deleted the post, in which he proclaimed "I am Adidas."

According to information from the BBC,

The first to denounce Kanye West's provocation with his "white lives matter" T-shirt was Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who called the joke "hugely irresponsible."
