Local tours and surrounding tours are still the first choice

According to the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the 7-day National Day holiday in 2022, there will be 422 million domestic tourist trips across the country, a year-on-year decrease of 18.2%, and a comparable recovery to 60.7% of the same period in 2019.

In addition, the domestic tourism revenue was 287.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 26.2% and a recovery to 44.2% of the same period in 2019.

Affected by the epidemic, local travel and surrounding travel are still the first choices for residents to travel. During the National Day holiday, the proportion of tourists who chose inter-provincial travel and intra-provincial inter-city travel dropped by 14.4 and 9.5 percentage points respectively.

According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the proportion of tourists visiting suburban parks, rural villages around cities, and urban parks ranks among the top three, accounting for 23.8%, 22.6% and 16.8% respectively.

According to Ctrip data, the most popular local surrounding tours on National Day this year are concentrated in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changsha, Suzhou, Hefei, Wuhan, Ningbo, Xi'an, Jinan and other cities.

Deng Ning, deputy dean of the School of Tourism Science of Beijing International Studies University, believes that this year's "November" Golden Week, with the upgrading of various tourism formats and the call for local festivals to be advocated, people's travel radius is shortening, and decision-making is becoming more and more difficult. More and more features such as "fragmentation" and "flexibility" are presented. On the one hand, it shows that the publicity method of tourist destinations has become more comprehensive, diverse and three-dimensional, which can reach users in many life scenarios. Surrounding tours and micro-vacation are becoming more and more mainstream.

Autumn is high and airy and the climate is pleasant. In the most suitable season for camping, tourists choose to enjoy the idyllic countryside and experience the autumn harvest in country parks and farm camps.

"We took our children to camp during the National Day holiday. We originally planned to spend two nights, but because the weather was too cold at night, we came back after only one night." Ms. Ge, who is in Beijing, told Zhongxin Finance.

Dunning said that from the perspective of tourism consumption, the characteristics of consumption classification are becoming more and more obvious, especially in first-tier cities. On the one hand, high-star hotels, high-end homestays and resorts are hard to find, and on the other hand, the camping industry is in full swing. You can choose different consumption methods according to your own situation.
