In the water source area of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, Nanyang City focuses on reciting the four-character formula of "governance, construction, transfer, and prevention".
Nanyang took the lead in launching the implementation of the "Headmaster + Sheriff + Prosecutor" working mechanism to create a four-in-one three-dimensional monitoring network of "air, sky, and earth diving" for water sources.
At the same time, focusing on the key points of pollution, more than 1,100 enterprises above designated size were shut down, and comprehensive environmental improvement in 541 villages was completed.
An ecological isolation zone with a total area of 195,000 mu has been built around the Danjiangkou Reservoir, 2,534 square kilometers of soil erosion have been controlled, more than 4,000 mu of barren hills have been greened, and more than 96,000 hectares of wetlands have been protected.
In key industries such as chemicals and heavy metals, Nanyang has rejected or terminated more than 430 industrial projects of various types.
How to "prevent"?
Nanyang explores the establishment of a "vertical and horizontal" management and control mechanism, "vertically" strengthens the connection with the Yangtze River Basin Ecological Environment Supervision and Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and "horizontally" establishes a joint meeting system for water quality protection in the Danjiangkou Reservoir Area with nine surrounding cities such as Luoyang and Shiyan. , strengthen analysis and judgment, improve the level of prevention and control, and create the experience of "one river, one policy and one map".
In the area under the jurisdiction of the Lushan section of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, there is a camera monitoring day and night within the range of every 500 meters to 1,000 meters.
The automatic safety monitoring system monitors the project operation data in real time for more than 80,000 safety monitoring points laid out across the line to protect the safety of the channel project.
