SBS 'I want to know' (hereafter 'Gal') investigates the murder and arson case of three mothers.

'Gal', which will be broadcast on the 8th, follows a mysterious fire incident that occurred 20 years ago with the subtitle 'The Time of the Murderer - The Three-Children's Murder and Arson Case'.

On July 13, 2002, around 1:30 a.m., a report was received of a fire in a house in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul.

The fire was quickly put out by firefighters, but unfortunately, Ma Soo-ok, 35, and her two sons, Kyung-tae (10) and Ki-hwan (6), were not able to save the house where the fire broke out.

However, an autopsy revealed that the cause of death of the three mothers was not a simple fire accident.

Traces of blunt weapons left on the heads of the three dead.

It was also a form of being priced several times.

Before the fire, her mother and two sons were attacked and killed by someone.

A disaster that came without warning to a peaceful family.

Nam (pseudonym), a husband who lost his two young sons and his wife in an instant, was not present at the time of the incident.

It is said that he was able to avoid a catastrophe because he was on a night shift on the day of the incident.

When the results of the autopsy came out, the police brutally murdered, set fire to them, and tried their best to catch the missing killer.

A nearby resident who witnessed the incident said, 'At 10:30 at night, I heard a woman screaming and fighting, but not a man's voice.

Another resident, B, said he heard a similar sound.

At the time of the incident, the fire report was received at around 1:30 am.

Police estimated that the crimes ranging from murder to arson occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., about three hours.

At that time, the detectives first reviewed the possibility of robbery and murder, but judged that it was highly likely that the murder was due to grudges, given that there were no money or valuables that were particularly lost in the house, and that the perpetrator spent time in the house to set fire after the murder.

A murderer with brutality and precision, who brutally murdered Su-ok Ma, killed her children who would have been witnesses of the murder, and set fire to the destruction of evidence.

At the end of the investigation, the suspect identified by the police at the time was the youngest sister of Mr. Ma Soo-ok, who surprisingly died.

Why was she accused of murdering her older sister?

At that time, the police investigated not only her youngest brother but also Su-Ok Ma and suspected people among the people around him as suspects.

In the end, the case has not been resolved and remains unsolved for 20 years.

The eldest sister, Matthew Seon, said that she raised Ma Soo-ok, who was the fourth daughter out of one son and four daughters, like a mother.

She chased after the police, hoping more than anyone else to find out her culprit.

After meeting the production team of 'Gal', she was telling a story about her brother Su-ok, and she showed her two wills, saying that she did not understand English.

Two notarized documents with the same serial number and content.

It was a will in the name of Sister Ma's father.

The two same documents differed only in the information of the heir, with the name of her daughter Ma Su-ok on one and the name of Su-ok Ma's husband, Mr. Nam (pseudonym) on the other.

Who should have inherited an apartment in his father's name?

How can two documents with the same serial number have different heirs?

Her eldest sister was still unsolved.

Experts said that one of the documents showed the circumstances of the falsification.

What is the secret hidden in the two wills?

If so, what is the position of her husband, Ms. Nam?

The husband, Mr. Nam, whom the production team met, said that he still has not forgotten his wife and children.

Nam said he still wants to see children in their dreams.

In fact, her husband Nam was also one of the suspects suspected by the police at the time of the incident.

The reason Nam was on the dragon's list was because it was revealed that he had an affair with his sister-in-law.

The sister-in-law was the youngest brother of Mr. Ma Soo-ok, who was accused of being a suspect.

Conflict arose when Ma Soo-ok found out that the two were having an affair, and may have even led to a murder.

As a result of the police investigation, it was confirmed that the youngest brother was working part-time at the time of the incident, and was released on suspicion.

However, his eldest sister and the bereaved family insisted that there was a bit of a mystery about the actions of her husband, Mr. Nam.

On the day of the incident, Nam called the insurance company to inform the death of Ma Soo-ok, and he did not attend the funeral.

He also demolished a building that had been burned down the following year and built a new villa in its place, wondering where the cost was coming from.

When the production team asked his husband Nam about the death insurance of his family at the time, he explained that he had received about 4.8 million won.

In reality, however, it was revealed that he was paid hundreds of millions of won in death insurance.

Indeed, what kind of relationship did the husband Nam have with his wife Ma Soo-ok?

And with respect to the deaths of Su-ok Ma and her two sons, is there no suspicion of Mr. Nam?

People who might have a grudge against the deceased Ma Soo-ok were suspected, but it was difficult to identify the culprit because there was no direct evidence left at the scene of the fire due to the arson.

At that time, the police estimated the time of the incident based on the testimony of neighbors that they heard screams at around 10:30 p.m. at Masoo-ok's house, but all the suspects had alibi for that time.

However, during the interview, the production team was able to confirm the testimony that they heard a thumping sound in Masu-ok's house around midnight that day.

What would happen to the suspects' alibi if the incident occurred at midnight instead of 10:30 p.m.?

When was the actual time of the crime?

After committing the murder, the perpetrator caused the arson without leaving the crime scene.

If we can reveal when the culprit started the fire, wouldn't it be possible to estimate the time of the murder more accurately?

The remaining clue is the time on the wall clock that stopped due to the fire, 1:28:20 a.m.

Indeed, when and how did the perpetrator set the fire and leave the scene without anyone knowing?

The production team of 'Gal' implemented a set made of the same material based on the interior photos of the building at the time of the incident.

And here, a fire test that actually caused a fire was conducted.

Is it possible to estimate the time of the first fire on the day of the incident by calculating the speed and time at which the fire rises?

The fire that day was said to have progressed in a different way from the typical residential fire.

Indeed, what can the last traces left behind by the fire tell us?

While tracing the truth about the mysterious murder and arson case that took place in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu in 2002, 'G-AL', which estimates the murder time through a scientific arson experiment, and will also look into the suspects' alibi based on this, will be released on the night of the 8th. It airs at 11:10 a.m.
