On the evening of October 4, Xinjiang held the fifty-fourth press conference on epidemic prevention and control in the autonomous region.
At the meeting, Xu Tao, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said in response to a reporter’s question that at present, it is the period of harvesting and listing of fruits and vegetables in Xinjiang. Under the premise of the measures, we will do a good job in the transportation and sales of melons and fruits, and resolutely prevent the cross-regional spread of the epidemic caused by melons and fruits going out of Xinjiang. We have mainly adopted the following measures.
The first is to clarify the conditions for freight drivers to go out of Xinjiang for the transportation of melons and fruits: freight drivers are positive infected persons, close and sub-close contacts, and personnel in medium and high risk areas will not leave Xinjiang for the time being.
Eligible truck drivers shall leave Xinjiang in an orderly manner in accordance with the following regulations.
The second is to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control before freight drivers leave Xinjiang.
Strengthen the review and information reporting of freight drivers going out of Xinjiang, and do a good job in the service management of freight drivers going out of Xinjiang. Each county (city, district) epidemic prevention and control work headquarters designates special nucleic acid collection and inspection agencies to ensure accurate nucleic acid test results. Implement closed-loop management of harvesting and transportation of melons and fruits out of Xinjiang.
The third is to do a good job in the control and emergency response of melons and fruits on their way out of Xinjiang.
Strengthen the sharing of epidemic information in adjacent areas, and strengthen emergency response during transportation.
During the transportation of melons and fruits out of Xinjiang, when it is found that the freight driver is a confirmed person, a suspected person, a fever patient who cannot be ruled out to be infected with the new coronavirus, and the "four types of personnel", they will be handed over to the nearest territorial epidemic prevention and control work headquarters for control.
Freight drivers who have left Xinjiang should push relevant information to their transit and destination in a timely manner, and cooperate with the local government to do a good job in prevention and control.
