Motosu City is one of Gifu Prefecture's leading producers of persimmons, with about 350 farmers growing various varieties of persimmons.



The shipment of this year's persimmons began on the 3rd, and on the 5th, a total of 7 tons of "early autumn" and "taishu" of the "wase varieties" harvested at the JA Gifu sorting site were brought in.



About 60 people, including farmers, picked up each persimmon, checked the color and whether there were any flaws, passed them through an inspection machine to check the sugar content, and packed them into boxes according to size and grade. .



Persimmons are mainly shipped to the market in Aichi Prefecture, and some are also shipped to the Hokuriku region.
