This Wednesday, in one of the largest shopping streets in the Pink City, a man pushed a ball more than two meters in diameter covered with clothing as part of the "Sisypholia" performance.
The symbol of a man who pushes his ball, again and again, like Sisyphus, with a sterile goal, in the form of a eulogy of the absurd.
“Clothing production has accelerated a lot over the past twenty years.
Clothes appear and disappear faster and faster,” artist Natacha Belova told AFP.
She will repeat this stroll several times this week as part of the Biennial of Living Arts in Toulouse.
"The idea came to me in Brussels, rue Neuve, where there are also a lot of clothing stores", continues the designer, who points out that recycling clothes is difficult and "that it is a one of the most polluting industries on the planet.
Presented for the first time in Toulouse, "Sisypholia" should take place next year in several Belgian cities, in particular in April on rue Neuve, in Brussels.
