Coldplay's world tour must be temporarily interrupted in Brazil, where eight dates have just been postponed.

The group published a statement on social networks, in which it explains that Chris Martin, the singer, is suffering from a “severe lung infection”.

"Due to a serious lung infection, Chris has been under strict doctor's orders to rest for the next three weeks.

We are working as quickly as possible to fix the new dates and we will give you more information in the coming days.

The press release is "optimistic" about the health of Chris Martin, who is "eager to resume the tour as soon as possible".

Argentina

The group expressed, in English and Portuguese, "its deep regrets", and asked the public of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo to keep the concert tickets, since a rescheduling is planned for the beginning of 2023. However, those who wish to be reimbursed will be able to do so at points of sale.

On the other hand, the dates of the tour in Argentina, which will be sold out with additional dates, from October 25, are currently maintained.

This gives hope that these three weeks of rest will be enough for Chris Martin to return to the stage in great shape.
