It was in October 2021 that a shot from a prop gun that Baldwin was holding killed Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza during the filming of the western movie "Rust" in New Mexico in the United States.

In a statement quoted by Sky News, the victim's husband Matthew Hutchins confirmed that a settlement had been reached - subject to court approval - and that the case would be dismissed.

He also reveals that he will step in as one of the film's producers.

“Rust, which I will now produce, will resume filming with all of the original cast in January 2023. I have no interest in engaging in accusations or placing blame on the producers or Mr. Baldwin.

We all believe that Halyna's death was a terrible accident,” says Matthew Hutchins.
