An elite group of directors and film-making experts will participate in a series of dialogue sessions, dealing with the present and the future of the changing cinematic scene, during the activities of the ninth session of the "Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth 2022", which will be held from 10 to 15 October, at the Al Jawaher Center for Events and Conferences. in Sharjah.

The activities of this year’s session will witness the screening of 95 films from all over the world, some of which are shown for the first time, including six special screenings within the “Green Carpet” event, which is organized for the first time in the history of the festival, in addition to eight discussion sessions in which a group of senior filmmakers and experts will present Film enthusiasts and audiences have their own visions of the world of cinema, and share their thoughts on acquiring knowledge, supporting talent, developing skills, and other aspects of the art.

The activities of the second day will witness a session entitled “Distribution of short films - who buys my film?”

Presented by Shady Zeineddine, it hosts Giulio Vita, Artistic Director of the Garimba International Film Festival in Italy.

The second session, titled “Training Future Filmmakers,” will host Belgian director Siona Vidakovic, and will be presented by international trainer and director Ferdus Polpolia, on Wednesday, October 12. Jihad Darwish, President of “Talents and Enriching the Imagination” company, specialized in films and entertainment, will participate in a session entitled “ How do we support local and international talent”, presented by Shahd Al Kaabi.

On Thursday, October 13, Nour Saleh presents "Cinema Culture", which hosts award-winning director and producer Ferdus Polpolia, and explores the connectivity and entertainment aspects of a number of applications and platforms.

Kuwaiti media and producer, Ahmed Shehab El-Din, a member of the jury of this year’s edition of the festival, will present the session “Refugee Stories in Cinema” on Thursday, October 13, with the two guests, Alejandra Alcala, director of “The Story of the Neighborhood,” and Syrian director Waad Al-Khatib, director of “The Story of the Neighborhood.” for Sama.

In an interview to be held on Friday, October 14, entitled “Fan Foundation Programs” directed by Ali bin Kamal, and hosting Majd Al Farsi, and two students of the (Fan) Foundation: Zayed Al Suwaidi and Ibrahim Al Gergawi, the most important programs of the Foundation will be highlighted.

Also on Friday, a dialogue entitled “Palestine: Creating Links through Cinema”, presented by director and media figure Ahmed Shehab El-Din, hosted by Jordanian director Darin Salam, and Shady Zein El-Din will present a session “Why do we visit film festivals” October 14, hosted by the award-winning director and producer Several awards Mohamed Sindi.
