Rakuten Mobile revealed on the morning of the 4th that when North Korea launched a missile, it was not able to send J-Alert = National Instant Warning System information to users via emergency alert email.

The company is cooperating with the Fire and Disaster Management Agency to investigate the cause.

Emergency Rapid Mail is a service that delivers information via mobile phones to people in areas designated by national and local governments in the event of a disaster.

According to Rakuten Mobile, when North Korea launched a missile on the morning of the 4th, J-Alert information, which was supposed to be sent to users in Hokkaido and Aomori prefectures, could not be sent.

Rakuten Mobile, which made a full-scale entry into the mobile phone business two years ago, has been gradually increasing the information that can be delivered by emergency bulletin emails, and J-Alert information has been sent since November last year.

The reason why it could not be sent is unknown, and the company will investigate in detail in cooperation with the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, which is the source of the information.

Rakuten Mobile commented, ``We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. We will investigate the cause with the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.''
