Sounkyo Gorge in Kamikawa Town, at the foot of the Taisetsu Mountains in Hokkaido, is lit up with lights to illuminate the trees colored with autumn leaves, and visitors are entertained.

Sounkyo, a gorge in the mountains of Kamikawa Town, is known for seeing autumn leaves from early autumn.

The local tourist association has been lighting up the trees with autumn leaves for the past four years, and at night, the autumn leaves were illuminated even more vividly in the "Momiji Valley" walking path.

There was also a lighting corner where images of red and yellow autumn leaves were projected onto the ground in tandem with people's movements, and visitors enjoyed taking pictures.

Mayu Abe of the Sounkyo Tourism Association said, "Many people have come to the hot spring town because of the light up. We would like to continue holding events that lead to the improvement of the area's appeal."

Sounkyo is lit up every day from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm until the 16th of this month.
