The pavilion of the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority, the second largest reserve in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, won the first place award in the competition for the most beautiful exhibition platform on the “conservation of the environment and cultural heritage sector”, during its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, which concluded its activities 19 finally.

The CEO of the authority, Eng. Muhammad Al-Shaalan, said: “We were pleased to participate in the exhibition, as this distinguished experience allowed us to exchange experiences with specialists and experts from around the world, in addition to identifying the most prominent technologies, plans and strategic visions to raise awareness of the mechanism of preserving natural resources, and enhance Social responsibility towards the environment.

He added: "We succeeded in highlighting the role and strategy of the authority in improving the services provided to the public and preserving the environment, and we are proud of winning first place in the competition for the most beautiful platform, which reflects our ability to provide a distinguished experience inside and outside the reserve."

The pavilion of the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority reviewed the cultural and historical aspects of the local community in the reserve, such as the famous artisans of tent weaving, beekeepers and handicrafts, as well as the most prominent landmarks of the historical reserve such as Darb Zubaydah and its most prominent monuments, Larache, and the “Leina” heritage market, which is one of the oldest markets in the region. It was established for the purpose of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Iraq merchants about 100 years ago.
