The film "Blonde" has been met with strong criticism since it was released on Netflix on September 28.
The feature film featuring the interiority of the icon Marilyn Monroe, played by Ana de Armas, shocked many viewers with its extreme violence.
And, an abortion scene, where a fetus speaks to Marilyn Monroe, aroused the indignation of defenders of the right to abortion.

Acclaimed by some, criticized by others, the feature film addressing the life (and especially the interiority) of Marilyn Monroe, played by Ana de Armas, is not unanimous.
And, above all, it provoked strong criticism from defenders of the right to abortion in the United States.
A scene where the fetus speaks to Marilyn
In
Blonde
, the subject of abortion is broached and filmed in a raw manner by director Andrew Dominik, when Marilyn Monroe has to undergo two illegal abortions.
A scene particularly shocked: the one where the fetus of Marilyn Monroe, reconstituted in synthetic image, addresses her and asks her "You won't hurt me this time, will you?".
Three months after the cancellation by the Supreme Court of the Roe v. Wade judgment, these sequences participate in "anti-abortion propaganda", protests American family planning.
"False images that only serve to reinforce misinformation"
"While abortion is a safe and essential health care, anti-abortion fanatics have long contributed to the stigmatization of the practice by using medically inaccurate portrayals of fetuses and pregnancy. Andrew Dominik's new film strengthens their message with a CGI speaking fetus depicted as a fully formed baby," said Caren Spruch, National Director of Arts and Entertainment Engagement for Planned Parenthood.
And to add: "Planned Parenthood respects artistic freedom. However, these false images only serve to reinforce misinformation and perpetuate the stigma around sexual and reproductive health care. It is a shame that the creators of Blonde chose to contribute anti-abortion propaganda and instead stigmatize people's healthcare decisions."
