An accident involving a truck and a van occurred this Monday around 1:15 p.m. on the A7 motorway, between interchange number 12, that of Chanas-Saint-Rambert d'Albon and the Reventin toll, in the direction of Lyon.

Traffic is therefore suspended for an indefinite period.

Nine kilometers of traffic jams have already formed, notes the Vinci Autoroutes group.

"Teams are mobilized to allow emergency services to intervene with the injured, then to evacuate the vehicles involved in order to restore normal traffic conditions as quickly as possible," he said.

In the meantime, traffic management measures have been put in place.

Motorists are advised to exit at Tain-L'Hermitage or Valence-Romans.
