In line with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), the Friends of Cancer Patients Association announced the provision of free medical examinations for early detection of breast cancer in the country, as part of a joint campaign to ensure a healthy and prosperous future for the UAE community.

The "Pink Caravan", one of the association's initiatives concerned with spreading awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, sends its mobile medical clinic, equipped with the latest medical tools, and its mini-clinics to four emirates in the country, and provides citizens and residents with an opportunity to benefit from free medical examinations and consultations provided by an elite group of experts. during the current month.

Sawsan Jaafar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Friends of Cancer Patients Association, said: “We are keeping pace with the International Month for Breast Cancer Awareness by providing free medical examinations in various locations in the country. Last year, the Pink Caravan initiative provided thousands of medical examinations for the early detection of breast cancer, which included 2,197 examinations. Clinically, 1,019 mammograms, and 208 ultrasounds, which demonstrate the efforts and support of our partners and sponsors, and the willingness and willingness of members of the UAE community to participate in efforts to ensure their health and well-being.”

She added: “We are pleased to receive this great support from several parties from the government and private sectors to raise awareness of breast cancer and advance early detection efforts during the month of October, which contributes to making a greater impact. With a responsible society and committed white hands, the UAE will remain a pioneer in the fight against breast cancer.”

The mobile medical clinic and mini-clinics affiliated with the Pink Caravan provide clinical examinations for early detection of breast cancer in major sites in Sharjah, namely the Federal Authority for Identity in Sharjah today, from nine in the morning until three in the afternoon, and at the University of Sharjah tomorrow, in addition to providing mammograms. In the “Sharjah Ladies Club” next Friday, from four to ten in the evening, and at the “Al Majaz Waterfront” on the 27th of this month.

The events also allocated a day in Ajman, allowing them to benefit from the free medical services they provide in “City Center Ajman” last Sunday, and the mobile clinic of the Pink Caravan landed in Dubai yesterday.

The mini-clinic will provide clinical examinations on the 15th of this month at La Mer, on the 16th of this month at the Dubai Frame, and on the same day at Al Mamzar Park, and at the Raw Café on the 23rd of this month.

The mobile clinic offers mammograms at Mirdif City Center next Saturday, the Museum of the Future on March 28, and the Digital Park in Silicon Oasis on March 30.

The Pink Caravan will provide free medical examinations and consultations in Abu Dhabi next Saturday at Yas Mall, and at Umm Al Emarat Park on the 18th of this month.
