On May 8, 2022, Agenda broadcast a party leader debate in which several topics were debated, one of which was about integration.

In connection with the question being presented, a picture of burning police cars from the Easter coup that took place earlier in the year was shown.

Now the program is being rejected by the review board for bias.

The imagery is judged to convey that riots would be a direct consequence of a lack of integration.

"In this way, SVT reproduced a valuing view of integration that risked being perceived as taking a position on a controversial issue.

The element is therefore rejected in terms of impartiality" can be read in the Review Board's decision.

Agenda was last convicted of bias in 2013, according to the authority for press, radio and television.

At the time, the case concerned an element of the game behind the scenes in connection with the election of a party leader.

Agenda:

"Will analyze the decision properly"

Michael Kucera, publisher responsible for Agenda, is surprised by the Review Board's decision.

- We put the subject in a news context.

We were caught at the beginning of the program, but the issue then developed further into the program.

We always carefully go through the statements of the Review Board, and we will do so now.

I also note that the committee did not agree with its decision.

If a broadcasting company is deemed to be in breach of its broadcasting licence, the review board may decide that the company "should publish the board's decision in an appropriate manner".

Kucera says that they will do the same as all SVT programs and read out the message on air.

How do you think this affects trust in Agenda?

-

I never think it is good to be convicted in the Review Board, says Michael Kucera
