Since the pilot program for one month, a total of 10,152 pairs of marriages have been registered in seven pilot districts in Shanghai, of which 1,373 pairs of cross-regional marriages have been registered.
In order to expand the benefits of the pilot policy and further facilitate the people, starting from October 16, Shanghai will add Changning and Fengxian as marriages based on the seven pilot areas of Pudong, Huangpu, Xuhui, Jing'an, Putuo, Minhang and Songjiang. Register the city-wide pilot area.
At that time, if both parties are inland residents, and both parties or one party is registered in Shanghai, they can either register for marriage or divorce at the place of domicile, or go to Pudong, Huangpu, Xuhui, Changning, Jing'an, Putuo, Minhang, Songjiang, Fengxian, etc. The marriage registration authority in any one of the nine pilot areas handles marriage registration or divorce registration.
The pilot work of marriage registration in the whole city is a livelihood project for Shanghai to deepen the reform of "decentralization, regulation and service", to maximize the convenience and benefit of the people, and to meet the people's needs for marriage registration in the nearest place.
The Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau focuses on laying a solid foundation for its work in terms of policy formulation, establishment of a marriage registration authority, and informatization guarantee.
For example, the (Shanghai) original marriage registration information management system has been in operation for nearly 20 years. In order to adapt to the situation and requirements of the whole city, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau has increased the research and development of the new version of the system, which was officially launched on August 1 this year.
The new version of the system realizes a number of intelligent functions such as face recognition, fingerprint authentication, electronic signature, one-key query of marital status, electronic data and file management.
