An event for families to enjoy mushroom picking was held in Toyama City on the 2nd.

More than 50 kinds of mushrooms such as honey mushrooms and nameko mushrooms grow in the "Toyama Prefectural Natural Museum Neinosato" in Toyama City.

About 50 people, including families, enjoyed mushroom picking on the 2nd, and when they found mushrooms, they checked with experts from the prefectural forestry research institute to see if they were edible.

In addition, mushroom soup was served and tasted the taste of autumn.

An elementary school student from Takaoka said, "I was surprised to hear that you can eat large mushrooms that you thought you couldn't eat."

Toshinari Matsui, director of "Toyama Prefectural Natural Museum Neinosato" said, "It is difficult to determine whether mushrooms are edible or not, so please be sure to check with an expert when enjoying mushroom picking."
