Amid a heritage atmosphere, unique auctions, and a remarkable turnout from families, the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2022, yesterday, closed the curtain on the activities of its 19th session at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, which was organized over seven days by the Emirates Falconers Club under the slogan “Sustainability and Heritage.. With a renewed spirit.”

The closing days of the exhibition, which coincided with the weekend, were characterized by a distinctive family atmosphere, as the event witnessed the influx of many families who were keen to visit "Abu Dhabi 2022" and enjoy the activities it offers, which are suitable for adults and children.

The exhibition has established its position in the falconry world as a preferred destination for falconry enthusiasts with the aim of obtaining captive-bred falcons unique in their specifications, beauty and hunting performance. The exhibition is keen to attract the best bred falcons to meet the aspirations and desires of its falconers visitors.

The 19th edition of the exhibition witnessed an auction of a unique falcon (Pure Gear) of the American Ultra White breed, which was sold for one million and 10 thousand dirhams (about 275,000 dollars), while its original value is one million and 500 thousand dirhams, but its owner allowed it to be sold at this price. In support of the exhibition and its visitors, and the prestige of the event for it, professionals, amateurs and lovers of hunting and falconry.

The official of falcon auctions in the 19th session of the exhibition, Khaled bin Sifan, said, "One of the features of the falcon is that its blood is clear, its quality is high and it is of a rare species, and it is certainly known its value by whoever bought it." They also know the level of hawks that are being bid.

He stressed that when they pay any amount in any falcon, they are well aware of its true value, even if the purchase was made at a reduced price for visitors to the exhibition.

He added that the presence of such types of falcons is one of the most important elements of support and excellence for "Abu Dhabi Hunting and Equestrian", so the exhibition has become one of the most important events awaited by falconers, hunters and falconers, pointing out that the exhibition not only attracted rare falcons in support of falconers, but He worked on giving free falcons to buyers throughout the days of the 19th auction, with two free falcons drawn every day between buyers, in addition to a free draw on 19 falcons for visitors on the last day of the exhibition.

For his part, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition and Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers Club, Majed Ali Al Mansouri, said, “The exhibition has turned into an ideal international platform that showcases the best types of falcons bred in captivity in Abu Dhabi, one of the best falcon breeding farms in the world.

Over the past 20 years, the exhibition has succeeded in promoting the industry of captive falcon farms, which have proven their high ability to hunt and compete in major races.

The best breeds

In addition to the auction of "Arabian horses.. speed racing" organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers Club.
