An annual exhibition of unusual scarecrows is held in a rice field in Meguro-ku, Tokyo.

In Meguro Ward Komabano Park, there is a rice field called "Kerner Rice Field" after Dr. Kerner, a German who taught agriculture to Japanese people at an agricultural school in this area during the Meiji period.

Every year at this time of autumn, an exhibition of unusual scarecrows made by local children is held, and many families visited to see it on the 2nd.

Based on the situation in Ukraine, this year's theme is world peace, and among the 28 scarecrows, many have motifs of sunflowers, which symbolize Ukraine, and the blue earth.

In addition, a scarecrow representing Mother Teresa holding her hands together and Ultraman holding the earth in her hands was also on display.

A girl in the third grade of elementary school said, "I was very surprised to see 'scarecrows' of various shapes and colors, such as creatures and the earth."

You can see this scarecrow up close in the rice field until the 2nd, but since it is on display for the rest of this month, you can see it from the train window of the Keio Inokashira Line.
