On September 29th, on the occasion of the Martyrs' Memorial Day, all the auxiliary policemen of the Dehong Border Management Detachment in Yunnan took off their hats, stood solemnly, bowed and presented bouquets in front of the revolutionary martyrs' tombs, in deep memory of the martyrs.
On August 2, 1997, Yin Mingzhi, a former soldier of the Dehong Public Security Frontier Detachment in Yunnan Province, fought heroically with several drug dealers to protect the masses when arresting drug dealers. He was shot more than ten times and died heroically.
On March 25, 2007, Gan Zurong and Xu Shengqian, former officers and soldiers of the Dehong Public Security Frontier Defense Detachment of Yunnan Province, and Bai Jiangang, the former officers and soldiers of the Baoshan Frontier Defense Detachment, had a fierce shootout with an armed drug-trafficking gang in the border area of Yina Township, Yingjiang County, and died heroically.
On August 22, 2011, Yao Yuanjun, a former soldier of the Dehong Public Security Border Defense Detachment in Yunnan, fell into the Ruili River and died heroically in the process of fighting against drug dealers.
Today, the martyrs Gan Zurong, Yin Mingzhi's sister Gan Yuqin, and Yin Mingyan have taken over their brother's steel gun and continue to fight on the front line of the border drug control.
