Gao Junyu: I was 4 years old and was selected by the director in kindergarten.
I remember we were in a dance class at that time, and a director came to select people. The director thought that I was good-looking when I smiled, and I didn’t have stage fright. My eyes were very good at talking. this matter.
They are an agency that shoots commercials, and the first time they did a toothpaste commercial.
After a few tries, I was less stage fright and my overall performance was getting better and better.
Shooting commercials often changes to different studio scenes, shooting a lot of family scenes, and getting to know different "parents". These experiences are very new to me, and I like shooting commercials.
Beiqing Daily: How many commercials did you shoot before shooting the BBK point-reading commercial?
Gao Junyu: I was 8 years old at the time and had already shot more than 100 advertisements.
So far, I have shot more than 300 advertisements, and the last one was just shot some time ago, but the one that impressed everyone the most was the point-and-click advertisement.
Beiqing Daily: What was the income from advertising at that time?
Gao Junyu: I was paid 800 yuan for the first advertisement.
Becoming a commercial actor wasn't planned, it was more because I liked it.

Gao Junyu: After becoming a spokesperson, as long as BBK comes out with a new type of reading machine, it will send it to me, I will use it myself, and my classmates even ask me to buy it on behalf of me.
My English scores have always been good. I got 138 points in the college entrance examination English test, and I got 7 points in IELTS some time ago.
Beiqing Daily: After the advertisement of the reading machine is popular, everyone will call you "the reading machine girl". What do you think of this label?
Gao Junyu: When I was in junior high school, I was very resistant and hated people calling me that, but after I went to college, I reconciled with this label.
This label is everyone's first impression of me, the fastest way for them to know me, but it's not appropriate for a good friend to call me that.
And, there are indeed some opportunities that this commercial brought me, including when I hosted our high school 95th anniversary in high school, it was my first time hosting, and from then on, I fell in love with hosting.
Beiqing Daily: Did you have any training in this area before your first hosting in high school?
Gao Junyu: I had no training before this.
When I hosted the school celebration, there were more than 2,000 people in the audience. It was a big stage. Although it was the first time I hosted, the teachers and students around me felt that I hosted well.
This experience made me feel that hosting is very interesting. At that time, when I was just a freshman in high school, I had the idea of participating in the art examination to host.
I am quite a "book" person, and choosing the art exam will have some impact on the study of high school culture classes.
I always thought that I could get nearly 600 points in the college entrance examination. After checking the score, I found that I scored 568 points. I cried for several days, mainly because I didn’t do well in mathematics, but this score is enough for the art test.

Gao Junyu: This rumor first appeared in 2015. I was still a second-year junior high school student, and I didn’t have much contact with the society. I didn’t feel deeply about these statements and discussions, and it had little impact on me.
My parents were uncomfortable seeing others say that, and I comforted them back then—if a second-year student of mine actually took the college entrance examination and scored 403, it would be amazing.
After I went to college, I saw that people were still spreading this rumor, and at that time my heart was no longer disturbed.
Beiqing Daily: How was your university life after you entered Communication University of China?
Gao Junyu: After going to college, what I planned for myself was to do well in grades. During my college period, my GPA (grade point) was 3.84, ranking first in the class.
At the same time, I have also done a lot of practice. I have created my own short video account and WeChat public account, and I will share my life with you.
On the other hand, I also ask myself to read more books to improve my literary literacy, interpersonal skills and other aspects.
Beiqing Daily: You have transferred from the undergraduate broadcasting and hosting major to the international communication direction of communication. Are you considering what work you want to do in the future?
Gao Junyu: During the Beijing Winter Paralympics, I was a facilitator, and this experience made me realize that international communication is what I am more interested in.
This is a small introduction, but also a general trend.
Now our country may also need more talents in international communication. It happens that our school has such a project, and it is a national key laboratory. In addition, my English is not bad, so I chose it.
Broadcast hosting is more of a skill-based thing, and at graduate level, I hope to delve into more areas.
Whether I want to be a host, an artist, or choose another career in the future, I haven't decided yet, but I should still choose a job in the media direction.
