The department's firefighters immediately deployed sausages in the river to absorb the oil slick, near the town of Segré-en-Anjou-Bleu.

This Friday morning, the origin of this pollution remained unknown.

The gendarmerie has opened an investigation to try to find out more.

The prefecture specifies that the incident does not present any risk for the inhabitants of the sector, the production of drinking water being located upstream of the place where the pollution was noted.
